My roommate Joseph Catino went to the hospital a little under a week ago for kidney pains. He had gone previously in august for kidney stones and they had found a tumor. They chucked it up to being an infection and sent him home with antibiotics. He went back about last week for more back/side pain and they checked him in to do biopsies and more tests. Well today the results came back, the tumor IS cancerous. Today we will be discussing treatment options (luckily I am off). Please keep him in your prayers for two reasons. One being healing, the other being finding God. He isn't saved and has had some very bad experiences with the church and christians in general.
Update: It is cancer on his kidney is at stage 4. Hospital he is at is terrible and has a reputation for being terrible. He is not insured making it infinitely worse.

I was gonna update this by edit but at this point I'mma do a terrible thing and double post. My mind is reeling atm, I don't comprehend whats happening and yet I have no choice to watch helplessly. The hospital we sent him to was abysmal, we got him into a new one with a cancer center. They redid all the tests. The cancer is in his kidneys, liver, lungs, lymph nodes, and bones. He will be sent home soon for home treatment which will slow his death...but not prevent it. He is beyond modern tech and medicine for savings. All we have left is God and he is not saved...
Please pray he finds God. I know only God can reach to him at this moment. The healing is also a good thing to pray for...but his soul comes first. Also keep his family and friends in your prayers. Its amazing and humbling to see how many people who want to help him at the drop of a hat from him being a part of his life.

Can you PM me the hospital? You're not talking about HoF are you? I just want to make sure I don't go there for any reason.
Please call me if you need a ride to the new hospital before he goes home. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you guys.

Me and my family are praying for him and his family i know its hard to lose a loved one.

I'll pray for your roommate's soul and body as well as your spirit and his. It sounds like he will certainly die, but miracles still happen. My 11-yr old niece went to ICU on Christmas morning a couple weeks ago and it certainly looked like she would die, too. But she is still alive and out of ICU at this point. She continues to make progress in the regular part of the hospital, and we hope that she'll have a full recovery by the spring. God is in control, and He knows what is best :)

Lord I ask you show Him your ultimate love which is your son, and that his heart would be softened and draw near and close to you in Jesus name.

Bit of a necro but wanted to update. Today he left this world. Prayers for his mother and family please.
We don't know if he ever accepted christ but I sincerely doubt it, even so he was a great example of God using people who aren't for him to bring others to him. One of my other friends came to church and accepted christ because of him coming with us, it was pretty awesome.
