Personal help and prayer

I have been having a hard time lately handeling my Biological mother and fathers death. I would like prayer for healing and peace, strength to move on and go to God.

i just dont know, i have been having anger and regret, knowing that if my dad would have listened to me, that he may still be alive. His girlfried is the one that gave him the stuff to overdoce on, and i told him not to be with her. Why does this world have to be so messed up and twisted, always bringing people to the rockbottom, which i think im at. What should i do? I miss him alot, i just cant believe he is gone. He was my friend and not only that, he was my best friend.

Losing a parent is always tough, especially when you are very close. You have to remember that it is not your fault (I know you will probably hear that a lot, but its true.) Your Dad was a grown man, capable of making his own decisions. I suggest lots of prayer, maybe keep a journal of your thoughts and feelings. You should find a trusted adult - youth pastor/leader, teacher, counselor - and meet with them on a regular basis. Don't hold in your emotions or thoughts - write them down or verbalize them. Bring your journal to your meetings.
I will keep you in my prayers! With God's strength you can get through this. Remember: moving on does not mean forgetting your Dad, you will always have the memories!

This is good advice.  You are going through the stages of grief, and are not alone.  Your feelings are quite natural, and nothing to feel badly about.  At the same time, to_to is right to suggest that you can't allow your feelings to control you.

Thanks for praying, i have been having alot of trouble lately, knowing the last time i saw him was last Christmas, but ive been praying and talking to god about, and thanks for doing the same, for everybody, thank you!!!!
