Title: Prayers for a friend
Post by: The Guardian on March 31, 2018, 10:11:49 PM
Posting this on behalf of Josiah--the parents of a friend of his were just in a really bad car accident. Please keep the family in your prayers as well as Josiah as he comforts and ministers to his friend.

The mother has stabilized and is on the road to recovery.

My friend blew me away the other day though. While talking about this event he said this

"I am sick of living a mediocre Christian life. There has to be more, I want to be more like Jesus, I want more power and authority. I want my life to make an impact for the kingdom of God."

Hearing that obviously is a challenge to me as a person seeking to honor God with my life. I hope it is a challenge to anyone who comes in contact with this story.

It's incredible how suffering can help you know better the sufferings of Christ. It helps us know Jesus in ways we otherwise wouldn't have been able too. Obviously we don't seek suffering but I do see God fulfilling His word through this situation.

I have been using as my personal inspiration the lives of David and Paul as I traverse life's difficult road --- with inner and utter Joy. May their lives inspire us to eagerly look forward to our 7th year with much expectation ... tomorrow morning ... DAILY! It is not a matter of IF, it a matter of WHEN! At God's pace, at the perfect time and at the perfect place! Meanwhile, we abandon ourselves completely to Him while we be the best of whatever we are!

Peace and Blessings ALL!
