If y'all could spare some time, I'd appreciate some prayer about my living situation.
I've been with my current roommate for 4 years and that's been far too long (he's a jerk) so I finally got fed up enough to find somewhere else to live. My coworker friend and I started looking last week for places with the hopes we'd be able to find someplace before he has goes to Minnesota for the summer (complicated so I won't go more into it). We happened to be outside some apartments near my current place trying to call the number to set up a viewing when the manager actually saw us and asked if he could help. Long story short, we got an immediate viewing, it's perfect (if a bit pricey), and submitted our applications this morning. As if in answer to my unspoken prayers, the parent company lady at the office said she didn't want us to have to wait the weekend and that she'd process our applications today and let us know by tomorrow if we were accepted (I ended up being a little late to work because we got into chatting with her, she's very personable). She even had us set up an appointment tomorrow afternoon to come in and sign the lease (she didn't see anything in her quick perusal of the apps that would be a problem) with a move-in date of next Wednesday. She also mentioned that the rent was dropped by $60~ due to some stuff from the previous tenants, so that makes us feel even better about being able to afford it.
I don't know if this is at all normal (this is my first time doing this kind of application for an apartment), but it seems like it's all going really fast, so it's a lot to take in and think about right now (I'm a bit overwhelmed). We've been really lucky/blessed so far, so it seems like this is the place God wants me to end up, but my paranoid side tends to see the worst in everything so of course it's doing so here, lol.
