Please pray for all areas affected by Hurricane Irma. We were fortunate to have only lost power for 26 hours. Our area here in Polk County has been devastated. School has been out since Friday before Irma hit. They are tentatively planning to reopen schools next week, but many schools are still without power and have a lot of cleanup to do. I've never seen so many downed trees. I have been posting on Facebook to update family and friends over the past few days. I'll copy and paste some of that here later. Suffice it to say that this was the first and last hurricane I will "ride out." Next time I'm going to evacuate and bring my family to my in-law's house in Virginia. Praise God for keeping my family safe.
