Please keep my family in prayer...
« on: February 05, 2010, 12:27:10 PM »
Right now my father has been in the hospital for about a week now and they just did a biopsy on him and found out that he has multiple tumors on his liver and his pancreas. They said they would give him chemo but that his body would reject it. So it isn't looking to good right now. I just ask that everybody just pray for him that if he doesn't make it through, that he would be in God's hands in the end.

Thanks. UPDATE: Yesterday, they did a biopsy. *Sorry about the misinformation...lots of confusion...* and they said the tests would be back monday to let us know how bad of a condition in. They did a urine test on him and his urine was completely black because of his liver failing. I have been praying real hard that I end up seeing him before he passes. There has been lots of tension between us in the past few years and I need to talk to him. But alas, we get snowed in. Hopefully this is a sign that he isn't as bad as they say and will be alive for a while for me to talk to him...

Hey man, I don't have any fix it all comfort for you but I will get the whole congregation praying for you and your dad.
And the Lord will descend with a SHOUT, with the VOICE of the Archangel, and the TRUMPET of God.

UPDATE: I just got home from seeing my father this morning. The whole time I was trying to hold back my tears...WE talked alone and he goes, "SO what do you think?" I said, "About what?" Then he said, "About me dying..." All I could do was shrug. I just sat there crying, couldn't even say a word about that. Then he goes, make sure you take care of your mother... I said, I always do... I had to hug him and tell him I love him. He almost cried on me when I hugged him. It meant a lot to him...I had to go so he could sleep. I didn't wanna break down in front of him. He called my mom on the phone and goes, "At least you'll get my social security check." jokingly...I am so glad he is in great spirits....It makes me feel a little better about it but still the pain is tremendous.

UPDATE: Tuesday morning, around 3:30-4:00 a.m. my father passed away... He is in a better place now. WE are doing funeral arrangements as we speak. Just keep us in prayer as we climb this hurdle in life. I am being strong for my mother; she is really having a tough time through this, but I know that we will get through this...I'm praying for my mom also. Just keep us in prayer

Tragedies in life always do one of 2 things.  They either push us closer to God and to those we love, or they push us farther away from God and those we love.  No one ever goes through tragedy without significantly moving in one of those directions.  I will pray for you that you and your family will move in the first direction.
