Praise the Lord
« on: October 27, 2008, 11:31:34 PM »
I am a senior in High School this year which has been quite the experience thus far. I've played football since I was in 5th grade and it's always been a big part of my life. This year I had high hopes for our season and put in a lot of hard work during the summer. However, during our first game I broke my hand. I was pretty disappointed and hoped that it wouldn't be season ending. After sitting out two games we found a doctor that cleared me to play with a splint and padding. That worked pretty well for 5 games but I definitely wasn't playing at 100%. This last week was the first week that I could play without it. The game was our homecoming, it was for a league championship and a shot to go to the state playoffs. We won 27-24.

I feel that there are a lot of times when we don't give God praise for the good stuff and only come to him with the hard stuff. I'd like to publicly thank God for everything that he's given me and would like to encourage everybody else to do the same.

Congrats, Big Ben!  I look forward to seeing more videos of you pancaking the competition.

I should be able to get another one done a few weeks after our season is finished.

Congrats Ben.
Hearing praise reports like that is awesome.

Well done, Ben!

Now get yourself a scholarship to come play for the Buckeyes!  We need people up here who know how to tear off some heads, in case you couldn't tell from watching our offense.

As much love as I have for the Buck/Hawkeyes I think I will end up playing somewhere out West if I can. I like California, Arizona, Montana, etc.

Sadly we ended up losing our first post-season game, 42-14. Typical high school loss I guess, lots of mistakes and couldn't get momentum. All good things must come to an end I guess.

To quote the deep proverb, "Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end."  High school football may be ending, but college football is only beginning :)  You've had a great run Ben!
