Title: Play group becoming official
Post by: katedid on December 10, 2011, 12:49:24 AM
Prayers for our playgroup here at Roberts Wesleyan College to become an official school sponsored club. All the paperwork is completed and signed by our advisor.  All thats left basically is to send it to the office of Student Activities for approval. fingers crossed!

Yup.  We'll be able to do a lot more if we become official!

Being official is a good feeling, so hopefully God will work out the details. The biggest perks for my official Redemption Club back at Christian Heritage School in Connecticut was that the principal gave me permission to use the school's shuttle bus to bring kids to tournaments, and we were going to be given a stipend to pay for supplies.

Alas, I moved to Florida before getting to use either benefit.  :-\

Yeah, those are two big perks we're looking forward too.  Having a budget would also be nice to buy starter decks for new players who can't afford it.

If God is with us, who can be against us?   ;D

Tim H.'s legacy lingers forever amongst his former players at CHS in CT.  Tim, when we finally have new names and RNRS points posted, you will soon find out that one of your younger ones who is now in high school had attended our tourney last month here on Long Island.  He has gained some RNRS points in his comeback.  Moreover, Patrick C. is now a student at CHS and I have told both Patrick and our mystery surprise kid to get a teacher hooked to the game and possibly resurrect your club!

Prayers up to all who have and are making Redemption gaming official in their schools!

Godbless!

Ooooo.... the suspense!  ;)

I knew that Patrick was back, since my wife still talks with his mother. If you need my help recruiting a teacher, let me know what you want me to do. If it is a teacher that was there when I was there, then I might have some pull still.  ;D
