David was 18 and had just graduated high school this past year. He was developmentally disabled, and has faced numerous challenges in his all-too-short lifetime. He was unable to communicate, but he never had to; his smile showed us the courage with which he endured endless trials. He was a fighter, a brave soldier in the army of the Lord. He touched hundreds of people's lives, including my own in a very significant way, being my Godbrother. I'm not sure anyone can give hugs quite like David could. He will be very, very missed.
Soundman's family, as well as mine, covet your prayers during this difficult time. We know that David is in a much better place, with a much better body, but we mourn for the hole that he's left in all our hearts.
