Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

I pray that you will find work soon. You should be getting information about COBRA soon, so you can continue your old Health Plan. You might want to check the Obamacare website, too, since I would think this situation is one of the intents of the program. [I really don't know, though, since I have not been to the website.]

Praying for you friend. You also may want to check with WIC, since I believe your wife would be eligible for assistance (their website is http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/women-infants-and-children-wic).

She will definitely qualify for WIC. She will get checks for things like tuna, milk, cheese, peanut butter, eggs, cereal and similar items that will improve her physical health while she is pregnant. After the baby is born, the checks will include baby formula (if you choose) or more nutritional items if she chooses nursing.

Assuming that your state works the same as KY, if your wife is pregnant without insurance, then the government (I think it's Medicaid) will pay for all the costs of labor and delivery.  But I'll also pray for you to find another job quickly :)

Hey man, the best place to start is either Medicaid.gov or your own state's ACA health exchange (I believe your state is on the federal site, healthcare.gov).  Either online, by phone, or in-person with someone to guide you, the system should guide you to what you would be eligible for, including Medicaid.  In most states, Medicaid benefits also set you up with WIC.

If you get on Medicaid, you are responsible for none of the costs, including for labor/delivery.  However, just bear in mind that sometimes only the baby will stay enrolled after all post partum care is to be completed, though that will depend on your personal situation (this is also why going through the process will help you learn what you will be eligible for).

I work for a Medicaid MCO in Maryland, shoot me a message if you need some help.  Our systems will be different, but knowing the 'lingo' can be half the battle sometimes.
