God Moving in the Heart of a Co-Worker

One guy at my work started asking alot of questions about prayer and Scripture today. He is one of the people I would least expect to ask me about such things. I had the chance to point him to God and to Scripture and he borrowed my Bible at work and started reading it. I offered to give him that Bible or buy him another and he requested something that was a little bit easier to understand than the NIV he read from today. I bought him a NLT Bible after work today and will give it to him tomorrow. The man's name is Jarred and he is almost 30 and has never read more than a few verses of Scripture.

Please pray that God softens his heart and speaks to Him through Scripture. Also pray that God would keep Satan from blocking his reading of the Bible. Especially pray for him tomorrow as I present him with the Bible I bought him and that God would open his heart and mind to the Bible. I gave him my phone number and told him he can call me at any time with questions.

I am blown away and incredibly thankful for the opportunity God threw in my lap today and need your help to join me in prayer for Jarred and his salvation.

It always great to hear when people start reading God's Word for the first time.  Praying for him and that the Holy Spirit would guide you.

I gave Jarred the Bible at work yesterday and wrote a short encouraging note in the front. He started reading in the Gospels yesterday! Continue to pray that God opens his heart to understand what he is reading and be drawn to Christ.
