Looking for Job: Offer Accepted!

Hello brothers and sisters,

I would like to ask you all to pray for me and my fiance as we look for jobs.  Currently neither of us have work and we are being supported by our parents and living off of savings that we both have.  We are both very fortunate to be able to live in our parents' homes but we really want to be able to live on our own once we are married on April 9th of this year.  We have been praying for God to provide what we need and He has been faithful in answering that prayer.  We know that He will continue to provide for us because He is our provider.  God has provided thus far through being given a couple thousand dollars to help pay for our wedding as well as having my new car paid for in full.  At first we did not notice these two things as His provision but we both know that God is the one who gives us every good gift.  We both continue to look for and apply for jobs so please pray that God would open the doors that need to be open, close the doors that need to be closed, and that Julie and I would be ready and willing to walk through the doors that His Spirit opens.

I'm not sure what your definition of 'close' is but I'm back in Germantown, MD.  I'm going on a missions trip to Mexico the last 10 days of Feb and then will be back to MD until I get married.

God will take care of the work situation in His time. I took a leap of faith leaving my job in Connecticut, packing my family in our minivan, and praying that God would take care of the details. That was right about when the recession hit, so suddenly jobs were scarce. I worried for about a month while living out of a hotel. But God is faithful and His provisions are beyond what we can imagine. I ended up with a great job at a great school, and I now own a beautiful house that is the prefect size for hosting Redemption tournaments.

We are still in search of work.  There are some promising opportunities for work for me at Bob Evans and for Julie at a music store to give flute lessons as well as a Hallmark store.  However, these would be temporary.  Please continue to pray for us as we get closer to our wedding on April 9th.  Thanks everyone!

Updating

We are now married and are doing well.  We have a temporary part time job at a petting farm and are working 4 days a week for the next three weeks (including this one).  Its not very much but is it something and all of our needs are met.  Currently we are waiting to hear back from a camp/afterschool program in Auburn, WA as well as some other places that we've sent resumes to.  Your continued prayers are still very much appreciated.

We are still very much in need of prayer to find the jobs that God has for us.  Our job at the petting farm has ended and we currently have no work.  The place out in WA is still in process of reviewing applicants but we had a third interview with them at the end of last week and are again waiting to hear from them.

I again thank those who are praying for my wife and I to find work.  I have a follow-up interview tomorrow.  Please pray that I will represent Christ as well as I possibly am able and that God would bring about a favorable response from the people hiring.

Teaching positions at Christian schools, camps, churches and child care centers.

Once again, thank you for those of you who have been praying.  I received an offer today for a teacher position at a Christian before and after care program.  Please pray with us whether or not to accept this offer. 

I also have an interview with a separate Christian child care program on Thursday.  Please pray for that as well.

I accepted the offer for the teaching position that I was extended last Tuesday.  Thanks again for your prayers.  I am extremely thankful to have this opportunity.  That said, my wife does not yet have work and we still need more income that 30hrs per week in order to move out of my parents' house.  Please pray that God would continue to bless us with work opportunities.
