Title: Immediate prayer for my dad
Post by: Captain Kirk on January 27, 2009, 07:12:23 PM
My dad had blurred vision with gridlines across his sight earlier today and went to the eye doctor.  They told him that it was most likely a detached retina and that he needed to go have surgery immediately.  The surgeon is in the middle of an operation at the moment and my dad has to lie face down and not lift anything until the surgeon is done and my mom can take him there.  If the surgery is not performed within 24 hours, my dad will most likely go blind in the eye.  Please pray that the surgeon finishes soon and is able to correct the problem.  I serve a great God and know that He is a God of Healing and can provide restoration of my father's sight.

Praise God!  The surgeon determined it was actually a Retinal Migraine, and not a Detached Retina, which means that he did not have to have surgery.  I thank you all for your prayers.  I'm not sure if this has any long term affects, but I do know that it is not as bad as the first doctor feared.
