Wow, what a whirlwind. Another reminder that God is good! So, Saturday they decided not to do surgery but put my grandmother on antibiotics instead. By that afternoon she was complaining to all of the nurses about random hospital things, which is a very good sign that she's almost back to normal. Doctors are a little puzzled by what's happened as they can push on her stomach and she feels no pain, which is NOT something someone with appendicitis would do. Needless to say, if tomorrow's scan shows nothing she will go back home. Thank you all for your prayers through this crazy time!
Not necroing, but got an update from Mom. Saturday evening my grandmother was taken to the hospital because she couldn't breathe. Yesterday she was feeling a little better, but today I get a call that I need to get back to Ohio if I want to see her once more before she goes home to the Lord. It's been almost 10 years since I lost my grandfather my senior year of college (right before fall break). Prayers of peace and traveling mercies definitely appreciated as Gretel and I head to comfort family. I have no idea how all of this will shake out, considering my grandmother was the glue that held the extended family together, but I know Who ultimately is in control...
