My Aunt Sarah has been in the hosptial for the past couple of days and they have found out that there is a "mass" in her frontal lobe. She is going into surgery today. Please pray for her and my family.

I drove over to Raleigh from Montreat on Friday afternoon to see Sarah after the surgery. I'm drove back to Montreat Saturday evening. Surgery was postponed until Saturday morning and went well. However, there isn't any good news beyond that. The mass turned out to be a grade 4 Glioma. For those of you who have no idea what that means, it translates into very aggressive cancer. Before the surgeon removed what he could it had grown to about 5cm in size in less than 6 months. Unfortunately, due to the aggressive nature of the cancer it will continue to grow back. Prognosis is 9 months to a year. Even with treatment it really just boils down to waiting for Sarah to be overcome by the cancer. Hoping for a miracle. Thanks to those of you have prayed and continue to do so.

I'm really sorry. I lost 3 uncles and a grandparent within a year to cancer... I know how rough that can be.

Oh Sean, I will be praying. I lost my grandma earlier this year because of aggressive cancer, so I understand.

Sean,
My heart really goes out to you and your family. I recently lost a dear friend to liver cancer. We know a Creator and Healer, however, and He knows what is best for all. I will be praying for her and you guys as you all go through this. Knowing this,
"Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jer 29:12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Jer 29:14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD;"
There is so much more I would like to say but there just isn't room.
Blessings and prayers

Is she a believer Sean?

As far as I know she does not go to church. Whether or not she has truly given her life to Christ is up in the air as far as I can tell.

Sean,
I'm truly sorry for the pain that I assume you to be feeling as well as your family. I would think, as hard as this might be, that this is an opportunity for you to share the love of Christ with her. It is apparent that you have some relation to her. Perhaps God will use that relationship to further his kingdom through you to her. I pray so. I say this gently that it is not your responsibility to "save" her, but reaching out to her "through" Christ is. I pray hard for you brother. Let me know if there is anything I can do..
