Dominican Republic Mission Trip
« on: August 05, 2010, 01:28:39 PM »
Well, as I think I have mentioned a couple times before, I will be in Dominican Republic with my church's youth group on a mission trip from this coming Wednesday (the 11th) to the next Thursday (the 19th). We are helping out our little sister church there, doing a sports camp each morning and some construction for a new church building in the afternoon.

From what I've heard, the people there are pretty nice, and we're not doing anything extremely taxing or dangerous or anything, so it shouldn't be too bad. But still, this is my first mission trip (and in fact my first time outside the United States besides Cancun), and I'm not really sure what to expect. My biggest fear is that I'll be more of a burden than an aid, so besides praying for our general safety and spiritual growth, I would really appreciate your prayers that we might place ourselves in the positions of servants on this trip, and that we aim to glorify the Lord rather than ourselves.

Thank you. :)

Well, I'm going to bed right now, and will be leaving at 3 AM tomorrow. I might have time to post a thing or two by the time I leave, but I will say my farewells now. Talk to you all on the 20th!
