Czech Republic
« on: March 24, 2012, 01:16:16 PM »
I just wanted to share that I have the opportunity this summer to go on a mission trip with my church to the Czech Republic! Two weeks in July, teaching English camps, going over to Auschwitz for a day at the end... yeah, it'll be great. 8)

I'm asking for prayer, specifically a) health (for our team and the team from Czech), and b) finances. The trip costs about $2600. Prayers for raising this (and donations) would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Best. Goalie. Ever.

Anyway, it sounds like a neat opportunity. Hope you can go. :prayer:

Oh believe me I know, despite him leaving the Sabres he remains my favorite player to this day and I have the full page picture from the Buffalo News of him holding the cup with Detroit hanging on my wall, among other various Hasek items. Signed pucks/jerseys, pictures, posters, news clippings, etc.

Why has this turned into a hockey discussion?

Lord, please keep Thomas Hunter and his group safe on their mission trip to the Czech Republic.  We believe that the angels will protect them and that Jesus will intercede for them and give the strength and health.  We believe that this mission trip is to your glory God and that you will cause them to prosper and that more souls will be converted to the Kingdom of God, in Jesus Name!

Amen!

Thanks for the prayers, everyone! We had a great trip (and a great tournament on the first day back!  :o)

All of this is not only very much appreciated, but also answered!

Okay, story of why that is bolded: One of the girls in our group, on the way to the airport yesterday morning, got off the bus a stop too early. We were all worrying and praying, the Czech girl with us went back to find her, and it was a mess.

We look up and see her walking along the bridge that we came up in the bus. There is someone walking next to her, who we assumed was the Czech girl that went to find her. Those of us that saw her turned to tell the team that she was coming, and when we turned back she was alone.
She says that she was approached by a woman she described as "beautiful" (a rather peculiar description coming from her), who spoke perfect English. She asked our girl if she was with a group and got off too early, and then led her to the terminal. Our girl did not tell her the terminal, the airline, or anything, and when she turned to thank her, she was gone.
We all believe she saw an angel, and that we saw one from afar.

All the rest of the prayer was answered in was far too long to put into one post, but we had at least three people led to Christ by Americans and possibly several more by the Czech team (from the church we were working with). Thank you for your prayers!
