I have a friend going to belmont. He's a music major. I'll be praying, I've heard it a GREAT school.
I have a friend who went to Belmont and loved it. He is now making indie films, and I think doing well. Not that I believe that there is any chance of me affecting your choices in this area, but I do think that transferring to a secular university will only increase the likelihood of your abandoning the Christian faith in the next 10 years as I have predicted previously.
Sorry prof but I completely disagree and would like to let colin know. There is templation at any school, even a private christian school. Now at a secular university there might be more but if your faith is planted in God then no matter what tempts you, you should be fine. Just becuase it is a secular school does not mean that you will lose your faith. No school can make you lose your faith, only you can choose that. Belmont is a great school, BUT, a state university is almost always highly spoken of and is great if you get in. But no matter where you go remeber no one can affect your faith but you. They might persuade you one way, or tempt you with things, but it is up to you to decide whether or not to take the tempations.
I read it as speaking of academic challenges to faith. Did I read into that wrong Prof?

I was talking more along the lines of philosophical and academic worldviews that would be likely to precipitate your own personal bent away from orthodox Christianity. If you relationship with God is right, then none of that will matter. But if you allow your mind to be misled by some erudite sounding ideas, then I am truly concerned for your salvation.
