I try to stay somewhat up to date but I have only gone to 2 tournaments (NY state and nats) in like the past 10 years. There really isn't anyone to play with up here.Where are you located? I'm near Batavia, NY.
I'd be interested in playing and if I came I'd bring one other person who would play also.
Hello man,I dont know who you are but I am a fellow redemption player! Depending how things work I might come too!
I am a part of John M’s CT playgroup. There are a total of 6-7 consistent players, and we would potentially make the 5 hour drive. Most of us would be interested in a booster draft category, along with the standard type 1-2 player and multiplayer. There are 3 that play type 2, and we would also entertain teams. Hope this info helps!
I would lean more towards a standard booster. Our playgroup definitely received a larger share than most of LOC cards when the set came out. Since a States Tournament requires a minimum of 5 categories offered (and with my experience it is good to give people options as to avoid stagnant time for players), I came up with a template schedule that could be a viable option. By no means should you feel the pressure to use this exact schedule, it’s just a nice visual:Friday (Day 1): 5:30pm - Booster Draft (2 Player or Multi) OR Sealed DeckSaturday (Day 2):8:00am - Deck Check9:00am - Type 1-2 Player OR Type 2-2 Player12:00pm - Lunch Break (If more than 8 players, Type 1-2 Player requires 4 rounds) 1:00pm - Type 1-Multi OR Teams One category on Friday evening as it will be later in the day, and the nature of Booster takes a while when needing to draft cards and make decks. The multiple options for each time frame gives all players a better chance in playing a category they would like to play as opposed to having dead time, for example, for players who do not play/have Type 2 decks. Providing 3 categories of play for all players is enough to keep everyone playing while also not overwhelming a schedule that might go over time anyway. Let me know what you think!
Hey Rob, I'm still around (Al Bauer) and would love to drive over to Rochester ! The Booster draft should be LOC only, since it also includes a LOC Promo card. I would rather be drafting the new cards! See you soon
I could be wrong here, but I don't believe a LoC Only draft qualifies for getting the LoC promos. I believe you have to run the LoC Only Constructed category in place of T1-2P. Still fun to draft the new cards if you're into that, but I wouldn't count on getting any additional promos for it.
