Quote from: Ring Wraith on August 12, 2009, 11:55:30 AMI like most of them. not 7 and 8 though. Hand Limit will totally kill speed. completely. without a doubt. the whole drawing thing for going second is a little bit odd, I don't know about that one... maybe it'll be alright. It actually doesn't really hurt speed at all. Since most Speed Decks contain a lot of characters and fortresses and artifacts and what not, before I make rescue attempts I just play down all my characters until I have like 4 cards in my hand...this allows to to play 4 draw three cards easily plus draw three from Pentecost all in one turn. I haven't noticed a change at all in my speed deck other than having to play everything down from my hand before I make a rescue.

Big decks aren't competative anyway. You can still play a huge deck during a casual game with your friends.

I hate speed anyway...although, I'm going to have to come up with a new deck now.
I don't like the deck limit rule I liked that it could be as many cards as you wanted!
Speed in T1 is entirely unaffected by the rule, Wraith.
Quote from: Bap7 on August 12, 2009, 07:05:06 PMI don't like the deck limit rule I liked that it could be as many cards as you wanted! But it was a necessary rule...imagine if everyone realized they could build a 1000 card deck with Gates of Hell and it would compete and possibly win. Then at the bigger tournaments the poor hosts would have to check in 2 maybe 3 (when 1 is bad enough) 1000+ card decks. There is no need to build a deck over 150 cards.
I have yet to put down any cards I normally would not. The deck is 7-0. I have gotten to 16 cards a grand total of 1 time.
with my speed deck, I usually get about 20 cards in my hand each game.

I REALLY love rule change #10. I knew the efforts of my foundation would reap benefits. I think this will help the game grow by leaps and bounds.
