I think the things you need to watch out for are the extreme type 2 combo decks!...I know the arguement about new players shouldn't play type 2
Not just "new players".  This is exactly why I don't play T2.

Because of a couple combo decks out of plenty of other strategies?

Most of those other stratgies revolve around limiting the cards that your opponent can play. T2 will always be about who plays the most cards.

For instance:

ANB reset decks with FBTN.
Jake + RTC
SWJ + TGT
100 card Zeb decks
All the Horses + End the battle combo's on defence
False peace + Momentum Change + Bearing Bad News
Auto-blockers
And of course the dreaded Combo deck

All of these are extremely common in T2. And they lead to despair when you can't do anything about it. Because there aren't very many counters to them. Look at the TN district, you knew Cliff was playing Speed Camp, you probably beat speed camp more than anyone else in the nation, yet you were locked out in 8 turns. Your second place deck last year - ANB, my second place deck last year - ANB. All of the rampant false peacing in 2 player and multiplayer. And I haven't seen a deck without Uzzah in it for a long time.
