Cactus Game Design Message Boards

Friday night after T2 MP at the T2 Only, any and all are welcome to participate in the T2 Only unofficial special event. This year's event is going to be "TEAMS Dual Boost." The past two years, we've tried Booster 2P and Sealed TEAMS so this year we decided to jumble them together and this is what my brother Jayden and I came up with... 

Each player will get a set of packs from the following options:
Unlimited, Prophets: Pick 1
Apostles, Patriarchs, Kings, Priests: Pick 3
TexP, Disciples, Early Church, Persecuted Church: Pick 3

Total of 83 cards per player (166 cards per team).

Each team will then have 20 minutes to construct two decks out of the cards they pull from their combined packs.
Each team will be allowed to add the following four dominants to their decks: Son of God, Angel of the Lord, Christian Martyr & Strife--each player on the team must have one of the good dominants and one of the evil dominants in their deck. (We'll try to have extras of these on hand, but we're guessing most everyone will have a set they can use).
Any dominants that are drafted may also be used.

Normal TEAMS rules will be used with the addition of the rescuer's choice and experience credit optional rules also being used.

Players may supply their own packs or purchase them at a discount (I will also trade packs of equal value if you need a specific type and have extra of another). Sleeves are also recommended even though it is an unofficial event.

You can stay at the church and get some breakfast for free.

Gentlemen and Justin, Gabe, Jordan...Okay there will be no Gentlemen there but, unfortunately I will be unable to attend this year. A bunch of misguided parents have asked me to pastor a jr high retreat that weekend.

We will either have to cancel the tournament or move it to the site of the jr high retreat. the Type 2 Only Tournament without CountFount is like.......Twitter without followers.......Youtube without videos......Google with no results.

Or just bring the junior high retreat to the T2 Only.

I guess that means lunch of Friday is out then?!?

Tentative schedule:
Friday:  6:00pm    Type 2-Multiplayer (2-3 rounds depends on numbers and how late everybody wants to play)
Other games will be available to play (bring your favorite).
After Multi is over we might play some specialty category to be determined, round 11:00pm. Of course there is always a Perkins Run.
Doors open at 4:00pm

What is a Perkins Run?

It's a tradition here in Minnesota...you see, during our long, cold winters, food is often scarce. So we often have to find places that can provide both food and shelter. Since the highways are almost solid ice, vehicles are unreliable, thus we are often forced to travel on foot using specialized, spiked boots that enable us to run on the ice. And run we must, in order to minimize our exposure to the wind and blowing snow, and try to keep ourselves warm in anyway possible. Anyway, Perkins is the most identifiable place to suit all of our needs, with their bright green signs and large American flags. Thus the term "Perkins run".
