The Lakers.

They were named after the lakes in MN, where the team was first organized (before the team moved to Los Angeles).

The US controls the waters within 200 feet from shore according to international law, though, right?
Besides, if the Canadians can own that waterway near them, manifest destiny would require the US to own the Pacific...
