Quote from: Captain Kirk on June 21, 2009, 09:24:55 PMYou guys only had 4 T2 players? I must admit I am surprised... even Ohio state, with the same category schedule, had 8 players for the category......... Notice also that (unlike Ohio) we didn't accept carpet-baggers from Arkansas just to bump up our numbers.

Them's Fightin words MJB.
it's a beautiful thing, that's for sure. I'm going to try to get a group together and start some hardcore games so I'm ready for Jonathon.
The best saddest part about Matt running MN State was NOT ONE ANB WAS PLAYED IN BOTH CATAGORIES OF TYPE 2

Type S is a straw wrapper shooting contest. It started out goofing around in a restaurant after a redemption tournament. This year at MN state we had an official Type S tournament with prizes for the winner. At North Central Regionals we will have 2 catagories. One for distance and one for accuracy. We will be using foil wrappers for the distance catagory.Prizes for Type S will be a Angel Wars Action Figure plus an uncut sheet. Both catagories will be run at the same time so you can only compete in one catagory. Hopefully some year we will run type S at Nationals.Bill
It actually started before that. After a regional tournament. I always get yelled at by the other adults for shooting straw wrappers so I thought might as well make it an official catagory. Then I wouldn't get yelled at.
I always thought it started at IHOP...
Quote from: Ring Wraith on July 14, 2009, 09:50:10 AMI always thought it started at IHOP...IHOP was probably the place with the most witnesses. It actually started back in my college days at Winona State. I was eating ice cream with some buddies at a Bridgman’s Restaurant when a waitress bent over to wipe off a table. It was a direct hit!It and alot of other things are well documented in my new book coming out after Nationals, "The Legend of Wild Bill".
