Thats a good point. Also, I don't think Scott has RTS/Hamachi so it might be hard for him to compete.

Update: I vote for Zack and Isabel

I don't either.

and we need to be fair. Zack and Isabel are wayy better than Justin and Isbell, and they're enough match for the other regions already. so Zack and Belle would just be overkill.

We toyed with the idea of three from each region. But then we realized that regions like East Central could have a hard time coming up with three reps. The tournament isn't starting until June, so this is all pretty flexible, if there's enough call for 3 and each region finds three we could do that.

@ Andrew - Thanks for the call of support mate, but as I'm hosting/judging this deal, I don't think it would be particularly fair for me to participate :) I'm sure Gabe is willing, and finding a second, say Tim, or even a third, shouldn't be to difficult for us :)

EC can come up with 3 players. I mean Tennessee is the volunteer state. I would be willing to represent the EC if need be.

My thoughts on the Southwest

Kurt Hake - not online
Scott Kramer - will be away from web for much of June
Mike Wolfe - online, but doesn't do the Hamachi thing (to my knowledge)
Michael Leung - online, but doesn't do the Hamachi thing (to my knowledge)
Brandon West - online, good player (T1 MP @ Nats 09)
Andrew Kramer - not really online, but could be; will be away from web for much of June
Cameron Etchart - online, good player (Ironman @ Nats 09)
Benjamin Diep - not online
(add) Brandan Abbott - online, good player
(add) Ben Arp - if he's okay being a traitor, it's fine by me  ;)

Key word being T2. this is a T1 tournament.

also, he had a big advantage over Gabe because he knew Gabe's deck and played it many many times.

I'm technically in the NE now.  I decided to not have Tim Maly switch it for consistency sake.
There are other players who have gotten many of their RNRS points in a different region than is listed on the lifetime points spreadsheet.  For consistency sake, I think we should have players represent the regions that are listed there.  Also, I think the MW could really use your noobish representation :)

Hey, looking at that list, EC looks severely under-represented. I'd be happy to throw my hat in if we need more delegates.
At least we're better represented than the SW :)  Seriously, I would be glad to have you, Kirk, or myself represent the EC.

Guys, he said two representatives. Personally I think each region should have more, but that was not my decision to make.
I like the idea of 2 or 4 reps for each region simply for the tournament numbers.  With 8 regions each having 2 reps, we have a nice 16-person tourney with a clear winner in 4 rounds.  Having 4 reps, we have a nice 32-person tourney with a clear winner in 5 rounds.  Having 3 reps, we would have a messy 24-person tourney with weirdness.

I think it's fairly obvious that the NW may not have any representatives.  The only players on the list who are still somewhat participating online are Ben and Jonathan, and Ben is really a SW rep now.

Go ahead and PM those two (DaClock and NWJonathan) and if they decline then you can give our spots to someone else.

Isn't LightningNinja also from the NW?  If so, I think he'd represent your region well, too.

It might be both. Once all the representatives are chosen, then they will decide to play both type 1 and 2. Which I think is crucial in doing both if this is a regional tournament.

Oops, sorry about that.  I was confused by his thing next to his picture that says, "I am a NW national champion. :D"

Actually I think it would be better to decide whether to do Type 2 as a separate issue.  IF there ends up being a T2 tourney as well, then probably the representatives for each region would be different people for that.

For instance, in my region (EC) I feel like I would represent my region well in T1, but extremely poorly in T2.  I know that Kirk would represent us well in both.  And I have no idea how Pol feels about his T2 skills.

agreed, except should we do be able to enter the same person in two catagories? I guess since some of the regions are low on people, we might have to, but...

Wait this is type II? Then I decline.  ::)

Haha I'd love to play type I though. I'd better start playing some people on RTS and fine tuning my decks...  ;D

Is Kirk active online anymore? If he's not that Prof and myself seem to be the defacto choices for representatives.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
