Cactus Game Design Message Boards

Well Happy Anniversary!  I'm it will be a lot of fun. I have been looking forward to it for about two months now.

I have another question about the tournament. Since this isn't an official Cactus event, will we still be following the official Redemption tournament guide or will there be different TLG rules?

There are some different rules for this tournament, I will try to add them here are a link so you know ahead of time.

So the TLG rules are the following:

Booster Draft - You still draft the cards in a large group, but you will be playing one on one games instead of multi-player games.

Mulligan - You draw your 8 cards (and place Lost Souls in Land of Bondage).  Each player, starting with the one with the most lost souls, can choose as many cards as they want to shuffle into their deck and draw equal number.  Each player may do this once before the game starts.

If we have enough people to do Sealed Teams, then the rule for that is the teammates will open 3 packs a piece and then combine them to make their decks.  They will not be able to trade with the first opponent.

Absolutely love the rules for Booster and the new mulligan rule! So we are doing Sealed Teams?

We are doing sealed teams if we have a number that can be divided by 4.  That is originally what I signed up for, but I would rather run 2-P sealed if a team is going to have a bye.

Cool. I am looking forward to this weekend!  Chris, will anyone else be hanging out at the church on Friday evening? My goAL is to arrive around 7.

I'll be there and Knoxyouthpastor will be coming up too.  If other people are coming in like kariusvega and Wyatt then I'm guessing they will be there too

The only caveat I would highlight is that with booster you draft in one pod up to 13 players and then at 14 you would break into two pods of 7. Generally speaking the minimum is 7 per pod but in a smaller tournament it may not get that high. Hope you all have a great time!
