Looking at my funds this summer, I am not able to go down south this year (sorry Bryon).  However, I do have enough to host a district tournament for the few of us in the middle of nowhere .  I was looking at the end of July but to get that date, I have to submit the app today.  I was wondering two things:

1)   If the following Saturday is better, can I let Rob know after I submit the app about the change of date?

2)   Is it possible to change a category after submitting the app?  I am thinking about including teams but I am unsure if we can get four of us together for it (if not, then three of us will play T2-Multi).

I will know the answers by next Thursday (and will let them know before next Friday) but if I wait until then, I won’t be able to apply for the July 27th date.

These are the type of questions you'll probably want to e-mail Rob directly about.  Generally speaking Rob is usually pretty flexable about that sort of stuff, but you'll want his direct input on it.

If you did the tournament as a local rather than as a district you could do it as an impromptu local which definitely gives you the flexability you're looking for.

The Saturday before nationals (which is August 3rd this year) is usually silent as far as tournaments go because it doesn't leave enough time for Rob to get results back and update RNRS before leaving for nationals.

I went ahead and signed up for teams and for July.  I figure he would be more flexable to let me pospone it a week than to have it a week earlier.  As for the level of the tournament, I wanted to host a district for the promo (captured ark (which can be used by anyone)) and more packs as prices (for our special end of tournament game (also three people will win instead of just the usual two)).  Also, since this will be the only tournament this whole year, none of us care about RNRS :p.

I will try to email him this weekend to see if I can switch it to T2-multi if we don't have the six people for teams (or just send a pack back for no third place).
