I know there is a playgroup in Central FL (near Orlando, led by YourMathTeacher) and there is (or was--the members haven't been too active recently) a group in South FL. But I'm not sure about Northern FL, your best bet would be to PM YourMathTeacher and ask if he knows, and maybe if you aren't too far from Orlando you could go to some of his tournaments, or if he knows of anyone in Northern FL he could let you know.
