Those are lame duck categories right now. Maybe we will offer sealed when the new starter decks come out.  ::)

I think all categories at least have to be offered at District and above, so it's simply a matter of fitting it into the schedule somewhere.

Not according to the new application.  You pay x dollars for x categories, each additional category costs x dollars  I think the minimum for State and regional is 5 categories.

now you HAVE to offer t1 2 player adn t2 -2 player at each of those tournaments, but you can vary the others and leave others out if you want.

We won't be able to make it up for this due to Graduation being that weekend.  However, if you plan on a similar schedule for the Regional tournament, I would appreciate it if you could add in T1-mp for Fri night (maybe starting around 7:30pm).  Otherwise, I'll probably have several people who don't have T2 decks, nor the money for Booster (or in my daughter's case skill for Booster), and so we'd drive all the way up Fri night, and not really have anything for them to play.

Actually I would LOVE to try a game (or more) of Malta.  However, I'd rather do that late Fri night, after the Redemption events are done.

Change of plans.  I will either be at the Friday evening events or the Saturday events but not both.  One of those days I have to celebrate my wifes birthday at GABP.  I Will let you know which day I can make it as soon as I know myself.

I will be at the Friday evening events.  I may be able to make it to the morning events if the categories are able to end by 1:00 or so.  That afternoon I will be at GABP.

If you are going to do t1-multi, please do it during those times, preferably Friday night.  I doubt anyone will want to play t2-multi which would leave me nothing to play on friday night.  If anything the t2 multi would be one round or so so maybe you could fit both in back to back on friday night.

Anyway, do what you can but I dont expect you to bend over backwards to accommodate just me.  I am just hoping....

Gas just went over $4 a gallon here, so my attendance is solely based on how well I do at the upcoming NY States.  If I place well and often in the categories that I care about, then I will not make it.  If I struggle badly, then I may reconsider the gas deal. 

My wife reminded me that I plan to travel to 2 Regionals and that I should save my hobby money for that.

So, unless Matt changes his mind again, it looks like I'll need another teammate for State.  Anyone else need a teammate and interested?  I'll work with anyone and play any style so let me know, hopefully soon.

Type-1 Multiplayer will be played after Type-2 on Friday night. That way we can retain the integrity of the schedule on Saturday. Have safe travels!

JP...if you still need a team mate, get the deck from Matt and I will play with you. Either that or I have decks that Rick and I played in teams a few times. That is unless Rick is coming, in which case I will be playing with him in teams. That is pretty unlikely though, but I could be wrong.

Anyway...we have been playtesting a new style of play called "By The Book" and I was wanting to do some playtesting at the Ohio State Tournament. If anyone would be interested in playtesting with us and would like the rules to put a deck together before the weekend, PM me with your e-mail address and I will get a copy of the rules out to you. If you cannot open a Microsoft Publisher file, let me know so I can send you the file in Microsoft Word instead.

To give a first night update as we have just finished playing...so tired.

lol I got beat!

In multi I won my first game, My second game I was the target of a water jar that got my guardian and my fishing boat.  The guardian hurt me because all my LS's were unprotected.  I was eaten alive.  I ended with 2 LS's but tied for second while travis won that game.

In the third game I won but travis got second and his two wins and an untied second gave him 7 points to my 6.5.

There was a really nice play the took Travis effectively out of the game where someone played Great image against me while I decided not to negate it.  all 11 of his disciples died but he use HT to save one of them.  Then another player DoN'ed his Chariot sooo...yeah...

I tried to get it where he would have to split the points but he and I were too far ahead of the other players to make it work so I won....and got 2nd.


I didnt play t1 2 player because I was with my wifes family.

The booster draft I just played for fun.  I really stink at booster but I rescued 4, 4, and 5 and took 2nd.


The new By the book style is really fun and is a different way of looking at redemption.  I highly recommended it to everyone.

No one played type II so I had no opponents for any of hte type 2 categories and therefore we did not play those categories.  I couldn't even beat up on my own decks I give to people because I have already done that too many times.  Often when I give people a deck, they don't play it correctly and they get beat like a red-headed stepchild while I can take the same deck and shred my top deck to bits with them playing it...Oh well...

Sorry I didn't make it guys.  My heavy school workload this week, sickness, and solid performance at NY States didn't make it worth the $4 a gallon in gas and lonely traveling.

It's cool man...I pulled a you and won all but one category. It was a great time and got to spend some quality time with good friends!
