Does your daughter play or does Alanna need some time with less kids?  Jason and Ryan do okay with the game.  I think I overwhelmed them too fast.

She's beginning to learn the game.  I started her off with a deck with no special abilities other than SoG and AotL.  Purple heroes and Brown ECs, enhancements, LSs, and 1 site made up her deck.  She was able to pick it up really quickly, and since then we just switch out a card or 2 a week so that she can learn how to deal with special abilities.  We started with simple banding and a bit of discarding.  Just recently we added in her first artifacts (Tables of the Law and Unknown Nation), and she's also got Cristian Martyr, Burial, and Harvest Time at this point.  No fortresses yet or TC-class stuff, and no set-aside.  But she did play in our tournament last weekend, and she didn't come in last.

Overall, it's been a great experience playing with her over the last many months.  It is another game that we both enjoy playing together, and getting new cards is a good motivator for her to study her Bible Quizzing :)

Actually she does Junior Bible Quizzing with the Assemblies of God system (http://kyjbq.com/) (since she's only 7 and Free Methodist Bible Quizzing only starts with Junior High).  However, our students here at our school do compete in Free Methodist Bible Quizzing (http://www.fmquizzing.org/index.shtml).  We've been doing the book of John this year, and it's been great.

We would love to come, but I will have to check with work and there is also our daughter who will be 17 months in June.  Once we know when we are going on vacation this summer will be a factor too.

Definitely interested in defending a few titles from last year though!   ;D

Friday Evening  //
Saturday Morning  //
PIZZA AND DRINKS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THE LUNCH BREAK!!!
Saturday Afternoon  //
..............................................................
For a schedule suggestion, would you consider this schedule.  It would have a T1 option for each time slot (since no one in my playgroup plays T2), and would have a closed category at each time slot (since most of the people in my playgroup don't have enough money to play Sealed or Booster).

Fri Evening:  T2-mp, Sealed, TEAMS (possibly starting after the other 2 end)
Sat Morning: T1-2p, T2-2p
Sat Afternoon: Booster, T1-mp

I don't like the idea of T1 2P and T2 2P going against each other.  Both of those categories are really popular.

I would switch and make T2 MP go against T1 2P on Saturday, and play T2 2P Friday night.

The schedule Mark suggested provides no incentive for me to show on a Friday night.

I just kept T1-2p and T2-2p together since they'll be together at Nats, so I figured people would want to maximize RNRS points.  But for gameplay purposes, I agree that having T2-2p would be a better incentive for Fri night.

As for the playmats, I am still trying to get a deal worked out with a printer to get more done. They will all likely be the same layout and art since I have not found a playmat printer willing to do multiple set-ups for a short run of printing like I am wanting to do. If you all have any connections in this realm, let me know...

Hey,
It's 11 days later...what definition of "tomorrow" were you using?  Seriously, I need to know for multiple reasons.
   1. I need to know so I can plan when to leave here...if I should pull my kid out of school a half day or wait until he's out at 2:10 PM (if games are at 7 PM, then my 7 hour distance will cut it close on the half day idea).  However, I need to know the schedule of categories and times to be able to do any of this.
   2. Someone requested to be my partner in TEAMS.  I need to know what TEAMS will run against before I commit.
   3.  I have friends in Cincinnati (who don't play Redemption) who would like to see me.  I need to plan visiting time too.

In summation, I need to plan for this trip soon and a schedule would help me able to do that.  Thanks for your consideration.  :)

Speaking of start time, I would appreciate it if we could start at 8pm.  The extra time would not only help Jon, but also my group coming up after school lets out on Fri.

I have tried to accomodate everyone. The only thing is that I was not going to offer Sealed originally. That being said, I was thinking of running the other two Friday night events together instead of back to back. If that will be too much of a problem, then I will leave it as is and go with it. Also, I am really excited about having the Type-A Iron Man event. I think it could really be a good event and everyone will walk away with cards that will help their decks get better.

Don't forget to pre-register if you want to be in the pre-registration drawing...

I really like the idea of running TEAMS and T2-2p concurrently.  What about then having Sealed run after both of those are over as a Super Late Night option for the few people who are planning on staying up all night anyway?  That is pretty much what they did at TN State this year, and it seemed to work well.

On a related note, is the $5 a one time charge or per category?  (Trying to figure out the total cost.)  Also, since Type A is semi-unofficial, does that grant a Goliath card (actually all of the Regional Promos)?

I will have to ask Rob that question about Type-A. I was not planning on charging for it so I would say it does not give the promos. As for the $5 fee, it is per category. Let me know if you have any other questions.
