hey actually it has been pulling us out of retirement  :P who knows when we might pop up out of nowhere?

I've had two tournaments in Columbus already.  Where were you guys?  Yeah, thought so.  Don't just sing it, bring it.  :p

By the way, I am hosting a tournament today and tomarrow in Franklin, OH.  Hope to see some of you there.  As for a State tournament, Schaef, you and I need to talk about possibly putting it together.  My aspirations are to bring Nationals to Ohio sometime in the next three years with some ideas up my sleeves (card or shirt)!  Post me back or maybe I will just see you at the tournament...

I have yet to buy any priests packs, I'm looking at a tournament in akron on the 20th tho. It's pretty close and I wanna see if I can still hang with the best of 'um.

In a nutshell is it possible to have a competitive deck without any preist cards? I'm still playing purple/white/black

Yes.  Just be prepared to have to work a little harder for your wins.  :)

To the Franklin folk, sorry I was unable to attend.  My wife learned of my plans and forbade me, which is probably best because I had to work last night.  I'm exploring whether we can survive financially without that second job, though, so I can maybe quit and not have to worry about these scheduling conflicts.

uth, I am still very interested in working together to build up Ohio tournaments and bring nats back here.  Feel free to email, PM or IM me, or I can even PM you my cell # if you want.

As for me, I was not able to attend this weekend either. I had to stay home as well. My wife's family was putting up the Christmas decorations on Saturday (which it actually was fun) so I was not able to come. I learned of it on Thursday so I had to stay behind. Sorry I was not able to attend, maybe next time. I would like to know how it went though.

No, it wouldn't.  Great town, international airport, plenty for visitors to do, dedicated hosts, central location, it's got everything.  We just suffer from logistical issues.   :'(

Securing a location large enough to hold bigger tournaments.  Our church is sufficient for our locals, but we can't really host more than a dozen comfortably in that small building.

There's places we could rent in Columbus and Cincinnati.

Renting costs money.  We can rent any kind of hall you want, if you tell everybody on this board and all of your local friends not to shop anywhere else other than my store.    And probably not even then.  That's why we're exploring churches, etc.

I also don't relish the thought of having to charge my kids for the tournaments, especially the local ones.  So renting is off the table, as far as Tom and I are concerned.  Maybe uthminister can swing it, I don't know.
