Cactus Game Design Message Boards

Looks like one isn't on the official tournament schedule right now.  An opportunity has opened up for me to co-host this in Cadiz with Clint Marshall. 

Before I apply, I wanted to see if there was any interest from players outside the state.  If interest doesn't seem to be there, we'll probably just do a Local or District.

The tournament would be Friday June 22nd and Saturday June 23rd.

I'm 4 1/2 hours from there. I might depending on when and how much.

Let me check with Clint to get an idea of what any costs to participants would be. 

I should definitely be able to be there for Saturday, but I will have to work Friday morning and don't know when I'll be able to get there Friday.

Normally, Friday night is just for Teams or T2 Multi, since we have to offer 5 categories at a State tourney.  I'm thinking we'd do T1/T2 Saturday morning and Booster/T1-Multi Saturday afternoon.

Ok, I've already got enough interest to make this happen.  I think I'm going to apply for OH states this weekend   

For those wondering about pricing, I'll go ahead and set the pricing at $0 for the entry fee and $15 for Booster.  If Clint needs reimbursed for any expenses that this doesn't cover, I'll make sure it's taken care of. 

I'd really like to set Booster at $10, but I'm hoping to boost 5 boxes in addition to Kings and Priests foils, which $15 is a good price for.

For those concerned about cost, is this reasonable?

Also, feel free to comment on what we should Boost.  I'm thinking:

FoM x2 because it's the new set, so it gets the new cards into our collections faster, plus FoM x2 includes 4 Disciples and 2 TexP, so it's kinda like drafting Disciples/TexP too   

I checked recently, and I have 9 Priests and 9 Kings packs.  This would probably not be enough for everyone, so if anyone attending has some of these they would be willing to donate, let me know.  Donations would reduce your Booster cost too.
