Regionals are coming up, and our church has no Internet access...I want to make good judge rulings but I see no way to do so without having access to Internet on my computer (the website does not work for my Droid). In this day and age, why is there not a PDF or other manner available? What do hosts use when they don't have Internet access at their site?

I definitely agree that it would be helpful. We don't have internet access at the church our tournaments are at either, so if I am not certain, I consult with the others there who pay attention to new rulings to get input and then make the best decision that I can. It's not always right, but it's the best we have available. Being able to look it up in a PDF or other offline file type would be much better.

Nothing else? We have major tournaments in 2 weeks...and no one else has ideas or input about what we can do? I had a copy of the offline REG...before it was updated...

Can't you have your computer save the reg and all the links as an offline page?

Do you know how to do that without clicking on each link and saving it?

Teach your kids how to do it and then go take a nap :p.
I never really used it on purpose but I thought there was an option to also include all links in the offline version.

My only kid is 17-months old and hasn't quite gotten there yet...
I remember being able to do that like 3 versions of Windows/IE ago, but I can't see an option to do it right now. Otherwise that would be a definite solution.

I've heard of a couple add ons for Firefox that will let you save a website as well as linked pages. I just downloaded and tried
Scrapbook Plus
. It saved everything 6 links deep and it appears I have a html version of the REG in Firefox. It took probably 30 minutes or more over DSL.
I haven't personally used
Save Complete
but I read that it will work for this purpose also.
Alternatively you could also use a lifeline and "call a friend". I typically have the luxury of few "heavy weights" at the State/Regional tournaments I attend. With their help most ruling questions can be answered, but even they occasionally call someone to get an outside opinion. I cannot promise my availability and online access the entire day but I'm glad to be on call for a question or two if you have need.

Looks good so far. I'll test it after it finishes downloading. Thanks for the workaround Gabe!

Ok, I downloaded Scrapbook Plus, but I am not seeing where I can choose to have it save everything 6 links deep. Obviously I'm missing something... Help?

It took me a little while to find it too. It's not completely obvious. I think I used right click and then chose Capture Page As... there was something there that gave me additional options when I clicked on it. Then, under "In-depth Capture" you can click the >> to enter the number of links you want.
I think 6 links deep is necessary to capture some of the REG pages, but it also goes into all kinds of other pages (facebook, twitter, etc) through the Help files. After you get the initial 3700 or so pages captured, click Abort to stop it from capturing all the unneeded garbage.

Ok, so I'm still confused... (And usually I understand technology well!) I spent all that time downloading the REG offline, I told it to go 6 links deep, and I did the same for the message board. The message board worked fine a couple links deep (not 6), but all I could get to on the REG was www.redemptionreg.com. Once I went to www.redemptionreg.com/REG, it said it wasn't available offline. Did this work for others? If so, can you help me understand?
Thanks!

Is it just a file? If so, do you have a way to share it with me? GMail's limit for an attachment is only 25MB. Let me know how you wanted me to contact you.
Thanks!

I think I got it working now. For anyone else trying to do this, start at www.redemptionreg.com/REG and then do the save. It seems like it worked this time.
Thanks for your help, Brad!

It's a collection of 8000+ html, css and graphic files. It can be found in this folder in Windows 7 (and probably Vista):
C:\Users\~usename\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\oq02cs0p.default\ScrapBook\data
