This looks like a pretty good schedule so far.  Sunday night I had a learning night to see if any youth would be interested and I had 5 players who know how to play come and 5 brand new players come.  I also think there are 4 or 5 other players interested so my group has gone from 1 or 2 players to possibly 15 to 20.
I never want to grow up, hmmm maybe thats why I'm a youth pastor.

Scott,

Did you have any ideas on dates for the NV State? and are you gonna plan on coming down again?  I'll get my proposed dates worked out and sent to you to be posted.

Is June 5/6 a date that will work for the majority of people in the area? I'm pretty sure I'm free, just need to make sure we have people coming.

Districts have been a draw to get our spread out players to travel long distances for the tournaments.

Mike, I seem to remember your boys having spring break sometime in April.  Would that be a good time for NV State?  Of course, the determining factor will be when the NV groups says the church is available.   :)

And we don't always post our local tourneys because our local players know about the tourney and guys aren't going to drive 4 hours for a local.

Mar 28         Aumsville        District Proposed
May 15-16    Aumsville        OR State Proposed

I've already reserved the church for these days.  I'll be sending in the District application really soon and if no other oregon players want the OR state tourney I'll send in that application probably in January. I believe that is when they usually start getting looked at by Rob.  Mike and Scott would either of you two be trying to attend either of these two events?  If so let me know.  For OR State I'm sure I could convince my wife to take a weekend away and have the house open for people to sleep at.

Also I'm excited because I bought like 16 decks a few weeks ago and only have 3 left for my youth group.  I've got over 15 players easily and more interested in playing.  In a day or two I'm going to post on the trade pages my needs for the play group so if any of you have anything I need I like to work out trades with NW players first.  Thanks everyone.

Thanks for being willing to change that Scott.  Does anyone know when the state and regional applications are being looked at?  Also I'm going to try and plan some addictional districts up here but I'm not sure when just yet.

Scott,

I was thinking of have the NV State the weekend of April 17-18. I see you have a proposed tournament that weekend. Most of the schools in this area will be out that week and I shouldn't have any trouble getting that time off of work.

And guys for regionals my wife will probably plan on going away for the weekend so the house will be open for people to come and stay.

For WA state, would we need to do 2 days? I know it could be a long Saturday but with NV, CA, and OR state all happening I doubt we'll have a big turnout.

Opinions?

TJ, maybe Jake, and I will all be coming.  I guess it will depend on turnout and what hours you have the church for?  It's certainly okay by me.

I would be okay with a one day WA state tourney although Ben we may have a big group from here come up so having it be two days could be easier especially if we have like Type 2 events on Friday.  My group will play both T1 events and there may be a couple of them who would do Booster or closed and if my main two events are out of the way I will be able to help judge and do stuff like that for the T1 events.  I will want to do booster like normal of course.  We could do type 2 friday at your house if you have space nad your parents don't mind.

I'm not sure whats harder, trying to get tourneys all lined up and hosting them or building decks to play with at tourneys.  I see that you already have teh OR state application done and approved so I guess I can probably send in the regional one soon.  I'm excited that my group is growing as fast as it is and that having regionals here gives them a chance to get alot of cool cards.
