North Central Regionals After Thoughts

I had a lot of fun playing at the North Central Regional Tournament this weekend! I just wanted to say that I was really happy not to see AUTO exchanging with Gideon every single turn like I usually do. I got to see a lot of other cool combinations with AUTO that I'm rarely exposed to, and also different decks altogether. Thanks Jesse and Gabe for hosting this!

If anybody else has thoughts, post them here.

Just reflecting on AutO at NE regionals. In 28 t1-2p only 2 players used AutO in their decks Jon Masters who placed and Keith Lance who finished middle of the pack.

Wow! You saw a huge lack of AUTO. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess that AUTO was used in anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 of the decks. I was happy just to not see him used with Gideon.

Yes it was a really fun tournament! Great fellowship, fun, and competition. I was also pleased with the wide variety of decks used. I remember that there was a debate before TEC came out about whether Redemption should add another brigade (clay) and I'm happy that it happened because the game is now even more diverse, strategic, and fun!

One other note- I don't know how it is in other regions but there are a bunch of very good young players here (including you, B-Dog)! This morning a 13 year old nearly won T1-2P, going 4-0 before losing in the final round and unfortunately dropping to 4th. I'm definitely excited for the future and hope we can have a future Nats around here (Iowa) so you all can see for yourselves!

I was pleased with the variety of decks that were competitive. We had a really messy 5 way tie for 1st place. Of those 5 decks there were disciples, Abom/Watchful, two that used AUTO and some judges and one I'm not familiar with. There were a number of other viable offenses there too. I faced a really strong offense based around Ahimelek the Hittite and another based on N.T. warriors (a man ahead of his time?).
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

As of now we aren't sure...we came up with different possible scenarios based on various interpretations of the tiebreaker rules. Rob is being consulted.

The only thing we know for sure is that Zac Cornell finished 3rd.  :)

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

That Ahimelek the Hittite deck was really cool. It turned banding enhancements such as Deborah's Directive into instant battle winners by banding him in.
