Justin Alstad is a beast!  ;D
True that--in the figurative sense.

It is worth noting, however, that Justin's strongest in-state competition did not play in this tournament.

Where does this kind of creativity come from? Is there a new Harry and David snack?

This stuff is somewhat new and very delicious...especially the jalapeno flavor!

(Don't worry, it's not served on a steeck.)  ;)

There's jalapeno flavored Moose Munch? That sounds wonderful!

STAMP, STAMP, STAMP--it's always STAMP!  From the tvtropes.org wiki definition of Straight Man...

"Somebody has to set up the joke so the funny guy can deliver the punch line. That's the Straight Man. He rarely gets the funny lines, but has to have impeccable timing and delivery so that the comic (the other half of a comedy duo) can hit it out of the park."

"Impeccable timing and delivery" pretty much defines my inclusion of the phrase "in the figurative sense" up above.

Well, shoot!  If I could've made it to the MN T2 blowout we could have performed "Who's on first?"   ;)

Lol, yay for four-way splitting of the second-place TEAMS prize! :D

Also, yay for 2nd place in 2 categories. :-\

I appreciate the compliment. Even though this was merely a local, I actually considered this a very good win because I had to play 3 very high quality opponents who had very solid decks. I would not have been surprised at all if I had lost a game to any of them.

The thing is you won in every event you competed in, right? That's the mark of a truly great Redemption player. Your team wins in teams. You play multi and win, then you play 2P and win. You're a great well-rounded player. ;D

Teams
1st  Bill Voigt/Jordan Alstad  (Wildman and the Professor)   MN
2nd Chris Carlson/Corey Breitenfeld (Double C's)
      Matt Brinkman/Nathan Voigt (BVDs)     (tie)

You know, people call me Justin all the time because they get confused, but seriously, my name was right there. Spelled out. And even my alias was next to it. The only part Justin played in TEAMS was lending me a few cards that I had lent to my youngest brother who was out of town. Justin's a great guy, but I'd rather be me, thank you.

Hahhaha. My sincerest apologies good professor.  ;)

But I stand by the fact that every event he competed in....  ;)

I did everything I could. Well, almost everything...maybe I should go back to the nickname I gave you on the scoring spreadsheet at the NC Regionals three years ago.   ;)

That was excellent. I can't say for certain that I wouldn't still be playing Redemption if it wasn't for Wild Bill, but I know that it would be a heck of a lot less fun. I'll have to post that story sometime, maybe when Bill is inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Josh told me that story. I wish I could have been there.
