I like most of them. not 7 and 8 though. Hand Limit will totally kill speed. completely. without a doubt. the whole drawing thing for going second is a little bit odd, I don't know about that one... maybe it'll be alright.

It actually doesn't really hurt speed at all. Since most Speed Decks contain a lot of characters and fortresses and artifacts and what not, before I make rescue attempts I just play down all my characters until I have like 4 cards in my hand...this allows to to play 4 draw three cards easily plus draw three from Pentecost all in one turn. I haven't noticed a change at all in my speed deck other than having to play everything down from my hand before I make a rescue.
no way is that going to happen. after the first draw, even if you lay down all your characters and stuff, the lowest realistically you'd get down to would be 7-8.

trust me. it'll kill speed. not completely maybe, but it will damage it beyond repair.
but what do I care? I hate speed anyway...
although, I'm going to have to come up with a new deck now.

Big decks aren't competative anyway.  You can still play a huge deck during a casual game with your friends. :)
This isn't necessarily true. I have a 154 card deck that has a great winning record. The gates of hell deck posted recently could also be powerful if you could manage to get that many cards.

Speed in T1 is entirely unaffected by the rule, Wraith.

I am telling you from experience that it has yet to effect my speed deck...I know from playing my speed deck that I can USUALLY get my hand down to about 4 or 5 cards before I make a rescue. And the deck hasnt lost yet. Soooo...speed is still very alive and well!

I don't like the deck limit rule :( I liked that it could be as many cards as you wanted!

But it was a necessary rule...imagine if everyone realized they could build a 1000 card deck with Gates of Hell and it would compete and possibly win. Then at the bigger tournaments the poor hosts would have to check in 2 maybe 3 (when 1 is bad enough) 1000+ card decks. There is no need to build a deck over 150 cards.

How is it uneffected? If I have to put more cards down it still means that speed has been effected.

it wasn't unaffected but it was certainly not effected enough to make it not a viable deck...Speed will still be very powerful! It has just been slowed a little bit, and you now have to lay down all your characters. But this new rule has only skimmed the power of speed.

I have yet to put down any cards I normally would not. The deck is 7-0. I have gotten to 16 cards a grand total of 1 time.

+1 If you can win with Gates of Hell in a 1,000 card deck by burning through your deck, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to win with a 150 card deck.

Ya the rule doesn't effect speed in type one a whole lot. I think the rule was mostly made for type two. With that beng said, I think it was a step in the right direction for Rob to make this rule to weaken speed. If it does nothing for gameplay it will decieve player into not play speed which is one of the games more broken architypes.

Maybe you should change your speed deck a little then...all our Pittsburgh Speed Decks have no trouble with the new rule...the only change is that our characters are all being placed on the table BEFORE we draw rather than after.

I use a slightly varied Velocity deck. (based on the first and second ones, not the third)

I REALLY love rule change #10.  I knew the efforts of my foundation would reap benefits.  I think this will help the game grow by leaps and bounds.
