TX Back-to-Back Pre-Nats 2018 Tournaments (6 & 7 July 2018)

***WARNING: We may not be allowed to charge our phones/gadgets in the gaming hall, per venue policy.
Make sure to bring your own powerpacks or charge in your cars.
Not a big deal but just making sure your bases are covered.
Players are also prohibited from consuming own food/drink in gaming hall.
Plenty of eats right in the shopping center outside the venue. Walmart also a stone throw away.
Bring coins, singles (larger bills up to $10 only for snack machine)
to avail of venue's snack and drink vending machines. Reasonable prices.***

FEE PAYMENT PROCEDURE:
Pay category fee at the gaming reception counter fronting the gaming hall. You will see H&F personnel manning the cash register. You must then present your receipt to Roy for your name to be entered into the scoring spreadsheet.

Sealed/Closed Deck Expansion Pack Options:
a. Friday Night - 2 packs (choose one of each from Di, TxP, TEC, TPC, CoW, RoJ, FoM)
b. Saturday - 2 packs (choose one of each from Di, TxP, TEC, TPC, CoW, RoJ, FoM)

Booster Draft Expansion Pack Options:
a. Friday Night - 5 packs (vote to choose one of each from Di, TxP, TEC, TPC, CoW, RoJ, FoM)
b. Saturday - 5 packs (vote to choose one of each from Di, TxP, TEC, TPC, CoW, RoJ, FoM)

Heads up Sealed Deck players for both days!

You now have a NEW fee schedule choice:
$15 but w/ one additional expansion pack (total 3)
OR
$12 reduced fee for the original Sealed Deck arrangement (2 expansion packs)

Y'all will vote before paying your tourney fees.

New Flash!

Just today I had noticed slashed hotel prices for the July gaming weekend. This might be a best time to purchase or cancel/repurchase bookings. The lowest I saw was $40/night. Special shout out to our playgroup north of Austin.

Hello Allen. Roy here for Chris. We are definitely going to do Booster Draft and T1 2Player on different phases so y'all get to play both. We hope to finish by 6pm but Booster Draft is notorious for taking too much time especially that we expect all players to do it. We give more time for newbies to pick cards. Worst case scenario we hope to be done by 7 or 8pm. We plan to do Booster Draft as 1st event of the day unless all want to do the T1/T2 2Player event phase first. We strongly encourage Booster Draft and Sealed Deck to be played in one phase but we will consider player majority choice. Thus, expect 2 or 3 phases. Then again, we wish to have only 2 phases if possible (BD/SD, then T1/T2 2Player).

Travel mercies to the Houston contingent!

To all Sealed Deck Players:

Please note OP and 2nd posting for latest fee adjustments and choices. We are trying to encourage brand new players with no other CCG experience to play this category instead of Booster Draft should we play both categories at the same time phase.

To all doing FNR (Friday Night Redemption) a.k.a. Local Tournament please make sure to arrive early enough. We will begin drafting at 7pm. See me at the gaming hall. We will also finalize the fee structure for Sealed Deck. Then we all pay at the store gaming countet. I will then collect all receipts as I check you into the scoring spreadsheet.

Travel mercies to all driving/flying/bussing into San Antonio on both days.
