What Georgia guys are seriously considering Natz this year?

I found flights out of Nashville for $238.20 on expedia. The $100 discount is for an elite level credit card which has an annual fee of $75, however you can sign up for the free credit card and get $50 off upon approval.

I'll probably be making the drive from the Milwaukee, WI area. Don't have specific plans yet (probably won't for awhile, lol), but if my mom's van is still in drivable condition, and depending on what people in my playgroup are planning, it's entirely possible I'll have available seats.

We will be making the trip hitting Indianapolis, Chicago, and Arden Hills. Anyone along that route who would want to be picked up for a small fee would be welcome to do so. I will be driving a 15 passenger van w/ trailer so we could accomodate at least another 6 people if not more. PM me if you are interested. Who knows, maybe we will even have a 2nd Annual Traveling Local Tournament on the way to Nats. It went pretty good last year except I will probably invest in some tap lights this year since the sun went down quicker than we wanted on the way to Boston.

P.S. Also if anyone is driving from the south and wants to let me take over part way through your trip, we will likely be leaving on Wednesday, August 10th sometime in the morning. Let me know if you want to reserve a spot in the van and I will accomodate as many as I can comfortably. No sardines here...

I am more than willing to pick people up at the airport on Wednesday night. Also, I can't speak for the rest of my family, but I am fairly certain that we can have at least two other Alstad rides from MSP.

Also, I MIGHT have lodging for two people at my apartment, where the only charge would be something nice for my wife, who would have to put up with more than her usual share of Redemption players... :P I can't promise anything yet though.

The Raiders will most likely be carpooling from our various locations in NY.

Need:
Possible lodging along the way
Lodging there
(Floor etc is fine)

Offering:
Possible rides to those along the way (unsure of what vehicle we're taking) (gas money would be appreciated)

Additional Info: I will be departing from the Cincinnati/Dayton area and I will charge based on the cost of the gas divided by the number of  people riding (everyone, not just the people we have join us so it should be very reasonable).

Well I don't think that anyone is on the way for us to pick up on our five minute drive from home to the church but if anyone who lives between New Brighton and Arden Hills, MN I'm sure that would be okay with my parents.

Anyone else that's thinking about going out of BWI: ... you having the same issue getting BACK to BWI?

My plans have changed, so if I could be moved from Offers to Wanted, that would be great.

I'm also looking for lodging, not really sure what the details are for the available options.

There will be free lodging at the church from Wednesday through Friday nights. There are also several hotels in the area, including the official hotel, which is the Days Inn (about 2 miles from the church).

Obviously, something could always occur that I wouldn't be able to make it....

BUT, in the happy case that I will make it, I'll be offering rides to anyone willing to split the gas charge :)
If I have one passenger, they pay 40%
If I have more than one, it will be 30%

I drive a relatively new Fusion, so I get pretty good mileage

PS- I'll be staying at the church fo sho!!! Also, I'm willing to bring board games, cards games, and/or XBOX 360 with if anyone is interested ;)

Kurt and I will be driving to Nats... from Wisconsin.  :)

Our route goes through Green Bay, Wausau, Eau Claire, and Menomonie.

Good news is we have room for two more, we won't charge much for gas, and we will get to the tournament location by midafternoon on Wednesday.

Bad news is we have to leave by about 1:30 on Saturday afternoon to head back through Green Bay, so we will miss the last round of play on Saturday.

PM me if you are interested.
Title: Nats 2011 - Luggage Purchase Discount for Players
Post by: MrMiYoda on May 20, 2011, 11:38:26 AM
One and all:

I work part-time at a luggage store and the owner has approved a 10% discount code ' REDEMPTION ' when you purchase from www.LuggageGuru.com (http://www.LuggageGuru.com) ---

If you have a problem with the discount code, please PM me.

The store already has some of the best prices on the Internet including Amazon.

I hope this helps a little for those who are planning to purchase luggage for travel to Nats.

Of course everyone else who has the code can enjoy the discount even if you're not going to Nats, but we prefer to see you there!

See you at Nats 2011!!!

The South Florida Redemption Playgroup has recently been considering travel arrangements, but one question that has been brought up is about the trip to Mall of America...  A few of us would love to visit, but we'd have to account for an extra day into our trip and further discuss transportation.  My questions are: Is there a definite trip planned to MoA already that about 3-4 guys might be able to hitch a ride?  If so, what day is being considered and what time?

Currently, we are entertaining the idea of flying in Wednesday and leaving Sunday (Since a 28 hour road trip makes it impossible to be back home Sunday by 4pm ;) ).

Also, is there a bus that runs from the airport to the hotel/hotel to MoA?  Trying to save pennies because Taxi's are murderous on the wallet :P .

We will provide transpertation from the Airport to the Hotel and back again. As Nationals gets closer we will get your flight information and a contact #.

Haven't planned the details to Mall of America yet. Probably Thursday evening after Redemption events are over. We will work out transportation details. Light rail is one option. If the # is relativly small we will take a couple vans.

That sounds great! I know one of our guys would like to spend more time at MoA, but that adds an extra financial burden for some of us.  Wow, thank you for offering to transport us, it makes things much easier.  I'll update the playgroup with this information and see what everyone else has to say.  Again, thank you.

I'm curious as to what exactly lodging will be available at no charge at the church Wednesday - Friday mean; what does that mean?  Will there be beds somewhere?  Privacy?  Does that mean bring a sleeping bag?

Lodging means bringing sleeping bags. We have 30 matteresses that are available. So the first 30 people that pre-register and say they are sleeping in the church will get them. The guys will sleep on the floor in the youth room and we have classrooms with carpeting on the floor and bathrooms for the girls and families.

As long as it is reserved, we have access to mattresses and showers which are both free.

I will be starting a thread about the 15-passenger van leaving from Crosspointe Church of Christ in Franklin, OH on Wednesday, August 10th. If you have expressed interest in riding with us, I will have all of the details you have been asking for. The reason there was a delay is that the van had what appeared to be a catastrophic meltdown on the way to mission trip, but it appears to have been fixed. I am going to drive the van a bunch this week to ensure that the issues have been worked out as much as I humanly can.

Please see my thread...here http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/official-tournaments/official-vanpooling-from-cincinnati-area-to-nationals-2011-info-thread/new/#new (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/official-tournaments/official-vanpooling-from-cincinnati-area-to-nationals-2011-info-thread/new/#new)
