I hereby respectfully initiate the annual think-tank for trip plans to Nats 2010 (http://www.ggamestore.com/games/). This is the template for now that would later be filled with more details such as plans for car-pooling, airfare data, hotels, etc. ----

So, call me a n00b, but does the "group rate" mean that multiple people can stay in the same room for one price?

Group rate normally refers to multiple rooms. Basically, if you can fill say 5 rooms, the hotel might give you a discount since you bring in traffic.
Multiple people staying in the same room is also a good idea for bringing costs down.

I believemy wife and i get to go to Nats this year we are wanting a carpool or to ride with some one we are going to be leaving from bolivar MO. If any one can help we can help drive/pay for gas

My family will be staying at the Springhill Suites, which is 1 mile from the church. That way, Kurt and I can walk to the tournament in the AM, leaving the car for my wife and daughters to come over when they are ready. They have a great price for 2 adults and 4 kids in a room ($103 including a AAA discount). Free breakfast and indoor heated pool. Nice. :)

Some hotels will charge you extra if you have more than two adults (over 16).

Well, I would be very willing to share the cost of a room with as many people as possible, even if it means sleeping on the floor or in a closet or under a bed or in a box - as long as I get to go to Natz!!!!! ;D
I also would still like to join any carpoolers who might be moving past St. Paul, MN. I will pay for my share of gas, and I'm also willing to drive part of the way, although I'm not sure if anyone would want me to. :P I doubt many MNers will be driving though, since it'll probably take either all of one day or most of two to get there from here.

Really LOOOONG shot, but are there ANY girls going that want to adopt a Marti? lol. I'll be the only one going from this area other than my married best friend (lol), so if there are, lmk, if not.. um. I'll figure SOMETHING out.

I suppose it would be appropriate to post a link to our MN carpool thread (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=20574.0) here. It isn't 100% for sure happening yet, but it's very likely, especially if we can find an adult to go with us (which is likely :P), and if anyone is along the way, we will probably be able to pick a few up. :)
