I am a pastor in the Nashville, TN area. I am working with our youth group and many if the local gamers to expose people to Redemption.

The problem I'm facing, is that there doesn't seem to be any already-established clubs in the area.

Anyone know of any that I'm not finding?  Are there any clubs within a reasonable driving distance?

Any help is appreciated.

His Alone,

Define reasonable.  Different players are willing to drive different amounts of distance is the reason I ask.

I'm pretty sure there is a very knowledgeable player near you. His board name is "Westy."  I would encourage you to PM him to check his college schedule as a resource for your group and to host a tournament.

Hi, I'm Westy.  I go to school at Belmont.  I've been involved in Redemption for over 10 years, closely working with several playgroups.  There are surrounding playgroups, but they aren't really in driving distance, so best thing to do would be to start one of your own, which I'd love to help with.  I've taught the game to many people, and am pretty decent at rulings.  However, I am very busy, working 2 jobs and taking a couple classes, but I should be able to find time somewhere.  I miss having a playgroup.  I'll send you a PM and we can further talk things out.

Also, I want to apologize on behalf of myself and Nathan Voigt.  We shouldn't have stolen your mushrooms.

I'm caught between two unfunny jokes, so I'll post them both and let the users decide which is less funny.

1. "Yeah, but can you see why kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch?"
2. "Do you also like romantic candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach?"

To clarify, I'm not the same Chris as the Chris RTSmaniac is mentioning. I'm a different Chris entirely. Not to be confused with Chris Bany either.

Sigh.

Maybe I'll change my name to Ring Wraith.

Appreciate the info!

Dunlap is about an 1hr & 45min.  If he has a group, I wouldn't mind driving down for one of there gatherings.

I'll be Chattanooga, TN in a couple weeks for a week.  Maybe I'll scout out around there for some players.

Thanks!

I'm the Chris RTSmaniac was talking about.  I am in Knoxville, and I try to do stuff with Rex "spacy (some number here)" in Dunlap.  I'm also the one you are getting the cards from.  Which by the way I am going to try to get in a box tonight!

middle TN is more in need of a functioning and long lasting playgroup and as far as my cards go, im only trading and selling and I have enough duplicates to build at least 2 really unwinnable type 2 decks but im not really looking to play type 2 for 2 reasons; 1. too many cards in a deck and 2. with all the cards it makes shuffling a lot more difficult so really and truthfully its just mainly too many cards to play though I have played type 2 on a couple of occasions and didn't really do well at it but im more into type 1 cause it's; faster paced, lesser cards to shuffle, the most common played, and overall just simple and straight forward and it does have challenges in the deck building area with trying to pick so few cards in a deck of 50 cards with 7 lost souls. but if you would like to come check out some of my cards, then I would have no objection but bare in mind; a lot of the cards I have are more old school cards mainly ones from a factory set, several starters, and the rest boosters. that is if your looking to teach with old school cards
