Well after coming to three nats before Boston and never placing I thought I would just have fun this year and just be random.
So on the first day it was Sealed Deck and in the spirit of being random I decided to pick 3 Prophets packs while everyone else was picking apostles, priests or kings. Well it turns out in my 3 packs I got 2 copies of Cup of Wrath and 3 Huldahs I then traded for 3 blue heroes with my opponent. Those 2 copies of Cup of Wrath whenever I played them wreaked havoc on my opponents defense because I would play the Cup and then DoS to discard everything in the side battle which I could recur again with the 2/4 crimson card for the second copy of Cup of Wrath.
I went 5 and 1 losing one game to Sam Nurge and in the end I got 1st in Sealed due to head to head.
For type 1 2 player I decided to be weird again and threw together a Pale Green magician/ Red warrior deck. The deck ended up going 6 and 3 taking 13th place which shocked me because I never thought the deck was any good. lol
Teams was also a blast where my wonky Magician deck went to place 5th with my partners Teal/Garden Tomb Deck.
Overall Nats was really great this year and I hope to be able to come next year!
I also forgot to add that my Custom Hero was a 7/7 Purple Deacon with... No Special Ability
