On another note, I have two beds (and possibly a couch spot) open at my place for Saturday night. So if you're leaving on Sunday and need a place to stay, let me know.

That would be me :)

is there anyone at all that will be passing through Eau Claire, WI that could pick me up???
If you can find someone to get you back to Eau Claire after the tournament, I could probably be persuaded to come and pick you up on Friday (depending on weather and the time you would be available for pick up).

If we are starting at 6:00, could we come in a little bit earlier to help set up and sign in?

Sure, my dad could always use some help setting up. He is going to be there at 2 or so, so any time after that you are welcome to come.

Sounds good. What time does your flight leave on Sunday morning? I live about 20 minutes from the airport, and would be fine giving you a ride there (Unless it's like 4 AM...in which case I'll give you the number to a local cab company... ;)).

Anyway, I have up to two more spots available. I would say that I'll restrict it to guys, but since the only female likely to show up to the tournament still lives with my parents, that's probably not necessary...

That would be sweet. Let me ask around, and see if I can find someone. This would be my first T2 tournament/game ever....

So far I haven't had much luck. I scoured the ride board to find nothing... I'll keep looking, but I'm doubtful. It's ok if i miss it though, being my first T2 ever, I don't have the slightest chance of winning :P

there is also the problem of Gas money.... since I don't know anyone going from around here, or even going to the area, I would be paying a drive round-trip twice.... 90*2*2=360 miles / 20mpg=18gal * $3.50= $63 !!!

Bill has been known to assist out of state attendees with their expenses.

Only one or two people are going to win the two events.  All the rest of us need to enjoy the fellowship and have fun without winning the whole thing.  :)  There are lots of awesome people to hang out with and a few that might make you raise an eyebrow (you know who you are!). ;)  I walk away each year feeling full and having learned a lot more about T2.  It's a great place to jump into the T2 waters if you want to get up to speed on the format quickly! ;D

You're right. I guess I'm more worried with my ability to compete in T2 at all... :P

I would be more than willing to spend the time to pick you up, but I would need help with gas money. Also, I am picking up Alex from the airport, so I would need to plan to get back by 6:00, and that might be a problem because my school doesn't end until after 3:00. I might be able to leave just a smidgeon early, but exactly how long does it take to get from Minneapolis to Eau Claire?

Two years ago was my first T2 game and tournament. I got third place, won a set of RoA, and beat Tim Maly. It was a good day :-*

If it ends up making a difference (and you hitch a ride to the tourney with me), you could halve that.

As this is your first T2 tournament you would want to do everything you could to be seated with Rawrlolsauce! and I in multi-player. There are so many complicated rules that the other folks just don't understand.

But I don't have KOT in my new deck >:(.

Edit: Why the second round trip? Just stay at the church. That halves it.

Google said the address was

North Heights Lutheran Church
2701 Rice St
Roseville, Minnesota 55113

I'm confused. Is this correct?

No...and yes...North Heights has two campuses, one in Roseville, one in Arden Hills. The real address is:

Hmm,
GOOGLE MAPS DIRECTIONS

The tricky part is finding someone I can count on to get me back. I know 2 people with cars in Eau Claire, and neither of them are reliable. Wouldn't turn out well, if I were stuck there..... "Trains, Planes, and Automobiles" all over again
