Would I be able to use Redemption cash to pay for at least part of this event?

You could use it to pay the security deposit on the starter decks you will return to Bill at the end. Other than that, probably not. :(

The problem here is that players will be getting $30 or so of product (depending on how you value Womens) for $10 assuming they return the starters at the end.

Is there wifi at the church?
Ever since we have been playing there, the church has locked down the wifi so it is not publicly accessible. Unless you hear otherwise you should assume the answer to this is "No."

I can't wait for this event. My plane touches down at 6:15, so hopefully there will not be any delays and I can quickly get into this Sealed Deck action!

They don't lock it intentionally. In certain areas of the building you can get public wifi such as by door B, but over where we would play is locked.

By the way, how many people are flying in and who will be transporting them to the tournament?

I might be able to check out a laptop from the church which would have access. I'll check into it. The M is right about access in certian parts of the building.

I think 2. One has a confirmed flight and I have not got flight information from the other. I will pick them up or anybody else that volunteers. Anybody who volunteers gets free sealed deck, as that would save me time and gas money.

My brother and his friend are wondering if they could come but neither of them have a T2.
Could they:

A   Borrow T2's and play in the day.
B   Spend the night goofing off.
C   Spend the night and then play an unofficial T1.
D   Come Saturday and play unofficial T1.
E   Do Sealed and keep that T2.

Are any of these off limits?

My Boy Jacob is flying in from Oklahoma (for you who are North of Missouri that would be known in the Bible as the Garden of Eden) but arrives at 10:45 p.m. by plane. The rest of us from Missouri are planning on arriving around 7 p.m. if we get through the cornfields safely (for you who are North of Missouri that would be Eeo-AH).

I will have 16 type 2 decks with me if one would like to borrow. However, it would be nice if this year whoever borrows my deck would not beat me with it. That is embarrassing.
Now that we're a family, I can be the ulll-timate DAD.

Not to mention that the picker-upper would get an interesting partner for sealed, because the picker-upper and the picker-upee would enter the tournament at the same time.

A   Borrow T2's and play in the day.
Yes.  See CountFount's post above.
Quote
B   Spend the night goofing off.
Yes. Provided they do not make you drive them home and have you miss the tournament the next day.  (Ask Bubble Boy about that.)
Quote
C   Spend the night and then play an unofficial T1.
Yes.  Provided it is OK with their parents.
Quote
D   Come Saturday and play unofficial T1.
Yes. Wild Bill usually has a T1 Iron Man tournament running on Saturday.
Quote
E   Do Sealed and keep that T2.
Yes. To be honest those decks have a good shot at being better than anything CountFount brings.  (Ka-zing)

No.

I would really like to put in a plug for either option A or E. If we get 33 players or more (and we are going to be close), Wild Bill will be forced to host six rounds.  No T2 tournament outside of Nationals has ever required six rounds.

I would really like to see this year be the year we earn the motto--  "MN T2 Only Blowout: Six rounds because we had to."

Man I  wish I could come... I may be able to cover it yet. BTW T2 sealed doesn't need 6 booster a tin a Di AND a TEXP.(Or is that because good is more than evil in the starters?)

After further review, we decided not to offer the tins for Sealed--which is why we switched to packs and added a Disciples and a TexP pack. Wild Bill then threw in a Women pack because he needed to clear out some space in his garage. hat should give folks about 200 cards to build a deck from. FWIW, we also wish you could come.

And I have taught so many how not to build a deck.

Goodly. Will there be video games for the people who try to pull allnighters?

Something like that.

BTW, I have the three copies of Jacob's Ladders you wanted for your deck.

I don't think I've heard of any Wisconsinites coming (which is probably for the best...just kidding). And everyone coming from out East is flying. So it seems unlikely. But if you leave by tomorrow, you should have no trouble getting here on foot; Eau Claire is only about 90 miles away...

Otherwise, if there is any chance you could find a way to get here, you would be treated to some decent Minnesotan hospitality.

On another note, I have two beds (and possibly a couch spot) open at my place for Saturday night. So if you're leaving on Sunday and need a place to stay, let me know.
