Calling all Type 2 players within 15 hours driving distance of MN

Details for Type 2 Only Redemption Tournament -Feburary 26, 2011

Location:  North Heights Lutheran Church
       Arden Hills-Upper Centrum
       1700 W. Highway 96
       Arden Hills, MN   55112

Lodging:   Stay overnight in the church on Friday night, starting at 6:00pm. Registration, deck check in, card trading, pick-up games, Ironman Tournament etc…..    Saturday night loging available in homes.

Gas money available to help with traveling expences for anyone traveling from outside the great state of Minnesota. Last year we had 2 people fly in.

Cost:  Free
    Pizza, pop, etc will be available for purchase.

Tentative schedule: (subject to change based on number of players)
      
 8:00-8:30   Breakfast for those staying overnight
8:30-9:00    Registration and deck check in
 9:00-4:00   Type 2-2 player  
4:30-7:30    Type 2-Multiplayer

We will be having an Ironman Tournament ongoing both Friday and Saturday. Winner will receive prizes. We will also have a type S tournament during lunch.

Besides normal prizes for a local tournament; 1, 2 & 3rd place winners of Type 2-2 player and Type-2 Multiplayer will get a chance to win a complete set of Disciples cards. 1st place in each category will get three chances, 2nd place two chances and 3rd place one chance. So if you won Type 2-2 player and placed 3rd in Type- Multiplayer, you would have a 4 in 12 chance to win the set of Disciples.

I should be there. Unfortunately, I still haven't made a decent T2 deck since Disciples. And my Golgotha combo idea was neutered.

I always look forward to "Wild Bill's" tournaments, especially this annual extravaganza!!!

Looks like it will be an extravaganza this year. The  "Georgia Boys" already expressed an intrest in coming. And the Guardian should be able to play this year. Its going to be hard to retain your title this year Gabe.

What Georgia guys are coming? Clift, Tyler, Eric? Also what airport is the best to fly into?

Don't know for sure yet, but Tyler and Eric are checking in to it.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) Airport is about 15-20 miles from the tournament location, and there should be people from the area available to give you a ride from the airport to the tournament.

Can't wait! Any chance we can get T2 Sealed going this year, instead of/in addition to T2 Booster?

What about type two teams with no time limits!?!

I really enjoyed the T2 booster draft.  Had we not started at midnight it would have been much more worth while.

I don't think anyone is lucky enough to win an event like this three years in a row.   I plan to have lots of fun and fellowship.  I also always learn a lot about T2 every time to play the MN crowd or the guys from GA so I'll look forward to that too!

I vote for type 2 sealed deck. 2 of the same starter decks with six packs.

I would vote for this also, but use one FoOF -or- RoA tin in place of the packs.

We would also need to come up with a fixed handful of evil cards that would be distributed along with the starter decks, because Good =/= Evil in the starters.

Booster draft took awhile to draft and don't know if type 2 teams would work very well, it might take all night to win one game.

I agree. The drafting part of booster was fun, but by the time we were done most people were only interested in playing one game and then calling it a night. I also have the same concerns as Wild Bill about a T2-TEAMS event. If there are four players who would like to get together and play test to see how long such a game might last, that would be interesting.

what kind of prices are you finding on flights?

so far the cheapest ive found is 208.00 roundtrip from ATL to MSP via AirTran.

You better attend. I always pair you up with a tough out of state player in the first round and you come thru with the win. Your sort of our type 2 RLK except your not random and your not a little kid.
