Calling all Type 2 players within 15 hours driving distance of MN

Details for Type 2 Only Redemption Tournament -March 6, 2010

Location:  North Heights Lutheran Church
       Arden Hills-Upper Centrum
       1700 W. Highway 96
       Arden Hills, MN   55112

Lodging:   Stay overnight in the church on Friday night, starting at 6:00pm. Registration, deck check in, card trading, pick-up games, unofficial single elimination teams tournament etc…..    Saturday night loging available in homes.

Gas money available to help with traveling expences for anyone traveling from outside the great state of Minnesota.

Cost:  Free
    Pizza, pop, etc will be available for purchase.

Tentative schedule: (subject to change based on number of players)
      
 8:00-8:30   Breakfast for those staying overnight
8:30-9:00    Registration and deck check in
 9:00-4:00   Type 2-2 player  
4:30-7:30    Type 2-Multiplayer

We will be having an Ironman Tournament for those not playing type 2. Type 2 players can also play Ironman between their games. Winner will receive prizes. We will also have a type S tournament during lunch.

Besides normal prizes for a local tournament; 1, 2 &3rd place winners of Type 2-2 player and Type-2 Multiplayer will get a chance to win a complete set of Treasure's cards. 1st place in each category will get three chances, 2nd place two chances and 3rd place one chance. So if you won Type 2-2 player and placed 3rd in Type- Multiplayer, you would have a 4 in 12 chance to win the set of Treasures.

There are a few things more important than Redemption. We will be praying for your wife and the baby on the way.

As I would have to fly to make it feasible...I'll have to think about it...along with talk with my wife, since her school will likely not let her get out on time...we'll see..

SirNobody's distant record looks like it will be broken. We might have Brad fly in from Baltimore, MD. He will be the first person to fly to a local Redemption Tournament. Although I think CountFounts van from KC almost flies. Maybe we can multiply the number of people in a vehicle by the mileage to count for total miles.

Lord willing TracerBurnout and I will be coming.  I'm not sure if we'll spend the night Friday or make it a marathon Saturday again this year.  I'll let you know when the time gets closer.

Its a 16 hr drive for me.

Be sure to make Tyler and Eric tag along.  A 16 hour card ride is much more fun with friends and we'd love to have more of the top T2 players show up!

Well Bill, I will try to come but I have one thing that is really holding me back.

I havent announced it to very many people on the boards yet but I am having a baby (Yes it is a miracle of science) ...

well, my WIFE is having a baby and he is due Feb 21st.  While I love redemption, I also love my wife more and I have a funny feeling she wont let me travel to Minnesota just a few weeks after the birth of my firstborn son.

...but if the kid comes early....

depends on when we can put the house on the market. I'm pretty sure we'll still be living in Austin when the tournament roles around. dad starts his new job just 3 weeks before that, so...

those are some amazing games... it's been too long since I've played Munchkin. OH nats. (of course, that's when I played Cutthroat Caverns too, and when I first saw Family Buisness being played.) I've never played Family Business. is that one game going to be there? the one at OH's nats that came in the giant bullet? I can't think of the name right now... BANG! that's it. I was thinking it was Boom.

That means possibly OH, MD, and GA will be new states represented at the tournament this year.
