Would anybody be willing to play type 2 2player after multi instead of saturday? We might be able to change the schedule if there is interest.

All of my yesses. I work Saturday night 11p-7a, so I'm probably only going to be able to make it for T1-2P. That would allow me to sleep 8 hours (pre-tournament), and still play in two categories.

Well I'm leaning towards playing both type 2 categories on Friday night. That way you all can play "Tim Smack down" on Saturday and get your type 1 decks ready for Regional.

Anybody object to playing Type 2 2player first?

If we do end up doing bith T2 events on Friday,  can we do 2P first? I'd much rather be awake and aware for 2P than Multi.

I get off work at 5 then have some stuff to do at the U after driving to the cities, but I'll try to make it there before the Perkins run :-*.

I'll also be staying at the church Friday night.

We will have to wait for you to arrive. It wouldn't be a real Perkins run without you.

Hey,

If we're going to be playing until Midnight on Friday anyway, why not move Teams to the 2nd set of events Friday too so that it's not against T1-MP?

Tschow,

I would imagine the thinking is that most of the people playing T2-Multi are those who are most willing/able to play until midnight, while TEAMS is more popular for those who wouldn't be able to do so (i.e. younger and probably smarter people who don't like to put themselves through the gauntlet that is T2-MP). But I guess it might not be a bad idea to have an alternative to T2-MP, for those who want to stay late but don't want to do T2-MP. I wouldn't care either way, however, as I will likely be playing T2-MP on Friday night and Booster on Saturday regardless of what the schedule is.

T1-MP and Teams are at the same time on the posted schedule.  I suspect that vast majority of the players for which Teams is a significantly more desireable category than T1-MP would be willing/able to play until midnight.  (I probably wouldn't be making the suggestion if there weren't two T1 events at the same time on Saturday.)

Not everyone has a TEAMs partner and not every body can afford to draft so that's why t1 multi is there. If we do decide to pair something with Type 2 multi I would prefer it was type 1 multi as I was planning on playing TEAMS and type 2 multi.

Hey,

Not everyone has a TEAMs partner and not every body can afford to draft so that's why t1 multi is there.

And with T1-MP there Teams doesn't need to be.

T1-MP needs to stay where at is as you pointed out in your first sentence.  We could leave the Type 2 events where they are on the schedule and do just Teams as the second event on Friday.

I think that its crucial that if we switch  people can play what they want to. I know that you want to play multi and Teams and I want to play Teams so that's why I suggested the Multi catagories be paired together.

Unless you run all of the events sequentially, someone isn't going to get to play in the set of categories they want to play.  Different people want to play different categories and you just cant please them all.

While Teams and T1-MP are categories I enjoy playing, when I initially saw the schedule I was leaning toward not playing in either of them.

What are the food options at the tournament? Is lunch including in the entry fee, or should I bring a few extra bucks?

Typically Bill will provide snacks Friday night and breakfast for those who stayed overnight for free (not that I know he's going to for sure but he usually does this) and then lunch will most likely be some great deal that he always has up his sleeve but you'll have to pay a few dollars.

Yes that is the current schedule I will change the first post. The anti Martin cards are working, Martin is  1-5 in pick up games at Mini Camp.

One thing to note for people who will be in attendance and don't go to North Heights:

There is major road construction on the Hwy 10/Hwy 96 intersection, such that it does not exist (at least the road part of it doesn't exist). Thusly, pretty much any direction you come from, you will need a detour.

From the North:

Take 35W South to County Rd I (the exit just south of Hwy 10 West). Take a left to go east, and follow Cty Rd I until you reach Lexington (note that there is a curve that splits off onto Hamline, keep followng CR I). Take a right to go South on Lexington, follow that to Hwy 96. Take a right to go West on 96, and you can access the church just before the lane closures on 96 begin.

From the South:

Take 35W North to I-694. Go east on 694, take the Lexington Exit, and go left to head North. Follow Lexington until Hwy 96, and take a left to go West on 96. Again, you can access the church just before the lane closures begin.

From the West:

Go east on 694, and follow the rest of the directions from the South. (alternatively if you are NE of the church, you can take 35E or Hwy 61 to Hwy 96, and follow that all the way along to the church).

From the East:

Go west on 694, take the Lexington exit, and go right to head North. Follow the rest of the directions from the South. Alternatively, if you are NE of the church, you can take 35E or Hwy 61 to 96, and follow 96 all the way to the church.

If any of this doesn't make sense, let me know which direction you are coming from, and I will hopefully provide clearer directions.

Thanks for sharing results, Nathan. It seems you might have made an error in the T2 standings though because I see one of those Redemption Metagaming guys.

Type 2 Multi

1st Jordan Alstad (nice sweep bro)
Tie for 2nd Justin Alstad and Andrew Wester

I don't think we've ever pretending to know anything about Type 2 :) I doubt either of us has anything to add.

I caught your ghost edit Gabe  ;) yuh I know, sub-par year for me in type 2. I went 2-2  lost to a quirky weakness in my deck 7-5 and then got run over by the champ. On a more positive note I am 3-0 in type 1 with plus (13) soul differential. Jordan (9), me, and Tim (10) are the only undefeated. I play Tim next round and Jordan has to play a person with one loss so we will have to see what happens. Tim's using his normal stuff I assume, Jordan's using turtle (lucky guess based on soul diff) and I am running something fast.

I guess this just isn't Tim's year for T1 2p at the State level - 3 tries too. I even tried to help him out by offering sealed at the same time in WI to lure away competition. ;)

Interesting that Tim and Jordan did not get to play each other. How many played the category?
