Cool. I'll see if I can't get that weekend clear. I was really hoping for earlier in June, any reason its not?

I think that a group will be carpooling down from the cities. Whether or not that includes me is unsure as of yet.

Yeah. A 9 year old should really go around shooting people with a shotgun. The only decent game that I'd consider appropriate would be rock band TBH.

Hey,

I'll bring my computer. Age of Empires 1 ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

We made a "TV Commercial" for Age of Empires as a homework assignment when I was in 8th grade.  It was a pretty good game, but Civilization II is much better.

Will we be able to sleep at the church?

LIES! I was addicted to Civilization II for a long time, but because Age of Empires isn't turn based, it's much more intense.

Hey Ring Wraith

Ask your Dad about our epic Space Invaders battles at the MSU arcade back in the day(1983) It was a blast intill I learned how to break the game. Then we switched to Racquetball.

Nice. I will try to be there.

One question, though--why no Sealed?  I can think of a (admittedly small) number of Minnesotans who absolutely adore this event.

I checked the rules and it is not officially a double-post if almost a month separates the posts.  ;)

Question: I have heard rumors that players will be able to play both T2-MP and TEAMS.  Oh please oh please oh please let this be true.  Would anyone official care to comment?

That is what Scott (host) told me today. I was as shocked as you, I was excited at the fact I wouldn't see any ANBs beings you're going to play teams. That killed my hope.

Erm....?? You've obviously never played T2 Multi with Me. Regardless, you sat right next to me at the T2 Only Local. Matt isn't the only ANB happy player in MN :)
Title: Re: MN State announced!
Post by: Rawrlolsauce! on June 12, 2010, 12:08:17 AM
Oh fine. Less ANBs.

Infact, ANB probably helps me. 21 heroes in a 36 card offense, most of them are FBTN or banding.

Would you like some cheese with your whine?

They've errata'ed the card twice and still whine, cry, pout.  Reach + AoCP?  Sorry guys, you'll have to wait for five years to get some more counters out there. Too bad, but there is nothing nothing more that can be done about that. Trying to neuter ANB, on the other hand...

How long has House of Rimmon been out?  How long have you been able to place the Color Guard in a green site? Have you put either in your deck? If you don't like people playing so many ANBs then maybe you should provide an incentive for people to stop playing them.

What does ANB stand for again?

Any Newbie’s Beginning  (Translation, if you haven’t learned the game good enough to become competitive use ANB) ;)

You're trying to defend a murderer! Reach + AoCP is absolutely nothing. Theres a million protect forts to save your characters, and another million ways to win the battle. Unholy Writ? Unknown Nation? The Gates of Hell? One of the 90 dominants? Philly Outpost? Magic Charms? Site Guard Soul? Need I go on? Infact, in my last 3 type 2 tournaments, I can count how many AOCPs were played without taking my shoes off! And less than half of them won a battle! There are too many counters that completely destroys aocp, it does nothing!

Whereas ANB has no counters! Ooh, I get to protect my evil characters in play, souls if I have thorns out. Even above that, those aren't very hard counters to stop! An exchanger or rescue stops you dead, not to mention that you can only have 2 of the same soul in a "normal" t2 deck. And fortresses? Yeah, those are so hard to get rid of....

You're just looking for excuses to try and play solitaire!
Title: Re: MN State announced!
Post by: Warrior_Monk on June 13, 2010, 12:55:11 AM
ANB has won very few lost souls. now, a first round TSA because of ANB has won mountains of souls.

I don't support an XBox. Honestly, what can you play on it? Rockband? I'm sure Wanderer and jc aren't okay with M games being played, there will be quite a few young children there. Even some T games are questionable.

If anything, I say bring 2 wiis and 2 copies of brawl, beings we've always had to take turns.

I plan on it.

thing is, the younguns are going home to sleep. we have all night! I think Scott would be fine as long as the kiddies aren't around. Jason would probably be skeptical of the idea.

FWIW, Halo was at KC nationals in the main area.

Well...the rest of my family uses the Wii, and it's a hastle to have to deal with all the wires and chords and stuff, so if you don't really need it, then I would rather not bring it. But I'll bring Brawl at least, and maybe some other games, too.

Mw2 is too easy. I just run around getting nukes with smoke grenades. I don't use them, of course, as that'd wreck my KDR.

We ended up not playing cod. There was too many little'uns around.

On topic: Blah Blah Blah I didn't get first in anything Blah Blah Blah.

As it is, I got 2nd in T2-2P and tied for 3rd in booster. I could have gotten first in booster if I hadn't made at least 1 of 3 awful mistakes in the last game:

1. using Korah's Rebellion on the losing guy
2. starting a battle with 11 cards in my hand and the speed bump out
3. NOT banding to Herodias with my Herod Antipas

I started that game 3-0-0, but it ended 4-5-3; I guess I'm just dumb (although I was extremely tired at that time, surprisingly so since I did get 4 or 5 hours of sleep). :P

You don't need MW2 as long as you have Halo 3

Agreed on Halo. I still like waw over mw2. Sorry, I don't like a game where a smoke grenade can kill you in one hit, even if you have painkillers (not that I ever get them, beings I get 100% of my kills from martyrdom :P)

Without stopping power.

Halo isn't even in the same league as MW2. You can have fun playing halo and pwning 5 year olds but I am going to play MW2.

If it is M it doesn't get played by JSB  :P

why do you need a sprint button when you're an uber fast, super jumping, invisible zombie!?! and the humans will die if they try to run away anyway...

because if everyone is going the same speed, it isnt really sprinting, is it?

Ironically sprinting is the easiest wayto die in cod.

But everyone isn't going the same speed
(well maybe, if the crunchy humans got to a mongoose in time)
But the zombies can fly which makes up for it
