Awesome look forward to it. I plan on bringing at least two with me. I need to post something similar for the Oregon state tournament July 12-14th. The tournament is now up on Cactus.

Thanks 777Godspeed! :) I've been playing games like the Final Fantasy tcg, Legend of the 5 Rings, and many other games at Phoenix Fire for about four years now. Fun store, approachable owners and more importantly the store has a fun and competitive atmosphere. And people don't smell bad, which is always a plus at an lgs... As a kid Redemption was my first tcg, but since there weren't any tournaments I stopped playing. Never would I have imagined there being a Redemption tournament in Idaho.

PS: On the Cactus website, I noticed the $5.00 entry fee wasn't listed, and that it still says Emmett, Idaho.

Schedule is set for which categories on which days. Times will be finalized once travel arrangements are secured.
There are local Hotels/Motels, places to eat, coffee shops and supermarkets in close proximity of the Venue.
If you are looking for accommodations, feel free to shoot me a PM with what you are looking for.

Godspeed,
Mike

Remember your cards will need to be sleeved for Tournament play and I can think of no other place to show our support than at Phoenix Fire Games. They have graciously opened their doors to be the host venue for the First Ever Idaho State Level Tournament. Let's show our thanks for Phoenix Fire Games generosity.
We are counting down the days til the Idaho State Tournament kick-off. I look forward to seeing everyone there, old faces and new, we are going to have a great time.

How was the Idaho State Tournament?, you ask... "Are you kidding? Fencing. Fighting.
             Torture. Revenge. Giants. Monsters.
             Chases. Escapes. True love.
             Miracles."
...  oh, wait... that is the Princess Bride
Fantastic Players, great competition, epic battles and most of all Redemption Fellowship...

Phoenix Fire Games is an awesome venue and I look forward to continuing to work with them. The owner and staff are great. There was interest in Redemption from other gamers that were at Phoenix Fire Games. Had the opportunity to sit down and play a G&H starter deck game with a MtG player. Another MtG player purchased a starter deck and wanted to make it to Closed Deck, but had other commitments. Many other gamers passed by or stopped and watched. The seeds of Redemption are being planted in Idaho.

Huge kudos to Asa S., my Teammate. Playing in TEAMS was a last second change for me. I hadn't planned it, but it happened. Asa S. and I made some last second adjustments to a couple decks. Asa S. had not piloted this style of deck before, but did a great job of winging it. This is a show of his skills. Cassidy S. and Jonathan S. are formidable players. A first turn LS win and 2nd or 3rd turn SoG/TSC put Asa and I ahead, but it was bruising battles to the very end. At any time a strategic Dom drop or perfect card draw could have changed the tide.

I consider myself an average player, so-so deck builder and only marginally better a piloting commonly known meta-decks. The decks I used were commonly known decks. I attribute my success in piloting them to time spent on Lackey learning and fine-tuning the decks by playing against top-notch players, far better than I. The Redemption community is chock-full of awesome resources, depth of knowledge and great players.

Godspeed,
Mike

@ Reth - you were part of helping me learn my decks.   ;D

I made a couple addition to my Sealed Deck. I had the J deck. We had 3 packs to go along with it. I made 6 additions and 1 swap out with my deck. I pulled a RoA LS "If the rescuing player bands OT and NT Heroes, prevent good draw abilities and protect this card from rescue." This didn't matter much as I never drew it in any games. Of my six additions, for some reason I like fat 56 card decks, 4 saw play and helped tremendously.

Naaman's Servant Girl (FoM) - You may capture this Hero to opponent’s Land of Bondage to convert an evil O.T. human in territory to a Hero of any brigade and add a unique human Hero in territory to battle.  Soul Gen, convert an evil OT Human, add a Hero to battle helped with a soul drought moment.

The Strong Angel (Ki) and Captain of the Host (Ki) were added because why wouldn't you add some FbtN to Sealed Deck. OK, I am sure there are reasons you wouldn't, but they put in work for me and won me some LSs.

Antonius Felix (TEC) - Protect a N.T. Lost Soul from rescue. Opponent may give you a card from his hand instead. May band to Drusilla. Cannot be prevented. He fit right in with the Roman defense of the J deck. His LS protection was boss and in Sealed Deck he is pretty formidable.

Convincing Miracle (RoA) and Separate Ways (AW) were both in, but never used. Convincing Miracle fit in with the White/Gold offense of the J deck and Separate Ways fit in with the Gray defense. Each one had merit to be in the deck, at least for me.

Godspeed,
Mike
