Georgia State-very close to TN

Dalton, GA--June 27, 2009

GA State Tournament. Host: Tyler Stevens and Eric Largent, tsteven1@student.northmetrotech.edu. Location: Crysel Fellowship Hall. Type: Sealed Deck - 2 Player ($10.00), Booster Draft ($15.00) and All four open deck categories ($5.00 each) Starts: 8:00a.m.

The price was suggested by Rob, I could go less if needed I really don't care. I could drop sealed to 7$ and supply the decks and drop booster to 10$. This venue is closer to TN then it is to me so I hope you TN boys can make it. Also pm me or RTSmaniac for directions. If you need my digits pm me I can give them to ya. Oh and I just noticed it said 5$ to each category, I do not like that it will be 5$ open fee for any open categories. We will have a grill out at the church so you should not worry about lunch unless you want to buy your own, I really don't care. Any money for lunch is appreciated but not necessary. Now for the events...we are only playing type 2, just kidding. The schedule will go- 8 am deck check in for type 1 2 player (5 rounds 6 if needed) and t2 multi (3 rounds) This will start as soon as I check in decks so come prepared! Next at, hopefully, 11:30 am, probably later, deck check in for the real deal-Sealed ( however many rounds we can fit till our 4 rounds of t2 2 player is up) and t2 2 player (hopefully 4 rounds) We can take lunch for an hour then at 5pm we start Booster and t1 multi. 3 rounds of each should do the trick. Should be over by 10pm to be honest. Please come prepared so we can have a smooth tournament. Also I would like to have a head count so I know how many bubba burgers and hot dogs to get along with chips and soda so please let me know.If I forgot anything just let me know I will put it up here.

Yeah sorry i was busy this year and new to tournaments. Next year I will be hosting more tournaments, as in once a month, catch is I will drive hours away to host if your church is open for me to host it at, because I have nowhere here, unless I pay to host it. So if your church can host I will host locals/districts there.

Guys raven is busy when everyone else can come! I will have to let cactus know immediately and get it changed.
Seriously Raven I am hosting state 30 mins from you so quit complaining about the date. If you can not come I really don't mind, if you can come, that'd be awesome. But no need to say that date is the worst. Just say hey thanks for hosting, hope I can make it.

Raven,
Have you considered inviting everyone at your college/career class to attend the state tournament instead of playing at the game night?  They would still be playing games, and you would get to play in a Redemption tournament.  I know that you always ask people on the boards to host tournaments in Tennessee, and now that someone is, I think you should really try to attend.  Ask the other people in your group if they would be interested in playing a new game.

That's a chance you have to take. Can't you miss one meeting for the grand occasion of a tournament?

They don't want you to talk about it...? What the heck, it's your hobby, you do not need permission to talk about the game.

Hey! Are noobs welcome to lurk around and see what goes on at a Redemption tourney? I have never been to any CCG tourney except Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Spellfire (but you all are to young to even remember it), Since I have given my life to God I have always wanted to get deeper into the Christian gaming scene but something has always come up but Dalton is on my doorstep!

Everyone is welcome to come to Redemption tourneys.  In fact, you're welcome to play.  You might want to start of playing Sealed Deck for your first tournament.  That will give you a starter deck and a few packs of cards to strengthen it.  And since everyone else is doing the same thing, it makes all the decks much more equal.

Spellfire (but you all are to young to even remember it)
Actually I do remember that game.  In fact, it was the first strategy card game that I played and I thought it was pretty fun.  I didn't like the darkness of it, and am very proud that Redemption has developed into a positive alternative that is equally fun.

Totally agree 'bout Spellfire (including the GREAT alternative that Redemption has given us!)

Mark me down for the GA tourney, I will, Lord willing, make it.

I'm doing what I can to get down there for State. But it would be nice to know when Regionals is, I would prefer to come then instead of for State. Any idea on a date for Regionals, Tyler?

Yeah second weekend in July. I have to find a church, we are trying to get the old one we had last year. I guess I will put down this address so I get the application in on time.

Hey, What is the full address of the church that GA state is being held at? All it says on cactus is the name of the church and the city. =/
